Chapter 2 - The Decision

As soon as the class ended, students began packing their bags.

The room filled with the sound of chairs moving and casual chatter.

Ji-woo was closing her notebook when someone suddenly blocked her way.

It was Kang Hyun-woo.

His eyes held the same cold sharpness as before.

"Don't you think you're being a little too oversmart?" he said bluntly.

"You're just a new admission. Seems like you don't know who we are."

Ji-woo listened quietly for a moment.

Then she let out a small laugh.

"Oh? Then why don't you tell me yourself… who are you?"

Hyun-woo's expression darkened.

Before things could escalate, Eun-jin stepped in.

"Ji-woo, don't get involved with them," she said softly.

At that moment, Ching Hau noticed what was happening.

"Kang, let it go. We don't need a fight," he said calmly.

Then his eyes shifted toward Ji-woo.

This time, there was no irritation in his gaze.

It was softer… almost gentle.

Ji-woo noticed it—

But misunderstood it.

He's just their friend too, she thought.

She made a face and walked away without another word.

Ching Hau felt something twist inside him.

He wanted to say something… but couldn't.

The day slowly came to an end.

The final bell rang.

Students began leaving for home.

Ji-woo stopped at the school gate.

She turned back and looked at the building one last time.

Her heart felt heavy.

"Coming here was a mistake…" she murmured to herself.

On her very first day—

a prank, scolding, confrontation…

It was all too much.

"I'm not coming back tomorrow."

This time, she wasn't joking.

She had truly decided.

Ji-woo lived with her grandmother now.

As she walked home, she made up her mind—

She would leave this school.

But…

She didn't know yet

that tomorrow might change everything.

And no one could tell—

Would Ji-woo return to school the next day…

or was this truly the end?
