16 years later
A boy with black hair and crimson eyes, stood in a training hall, doing exercises and training with his sword stances for slash, cut,parry, thrust. He was Adrian Starlight, heir to the Starlight dukedom.Though he looked exhausted, it can be seen that he was quite handsome, showing good genes of his parents. After a while, he stopped training and started thinking 'it's already evening, I better go and wash up. Later I have to go and have dinner with my parents'.
He went back to his room and there, waiting for him was, Diana, his personal maid, as usual. He asked her to prepare for a bath and she went to do her duty. He took a bath, relaxing all his nerves and muscles, which were tired after another day of training.
Soon he left the bath, got ready for dinner with his family, wearing black dress. His maid Diana was waiting for him and as soon as she saw him she led him to the family dinner hall.
He entered and saw a big dining table, and sitting at the head of the table was his father and at his side was sitting his mother wearing her gentle and kind smile like she always does.
When the couple saw Adrian, they smiled and welcomed him as he took a seat and smiled in return as well. His mother Ariana said, " Good evening, dear". He replied," Good evening mother". His father too said good evening and he returned the gesture as always.
Both of his parents were proud of him as he was a natural born genius with sword as he learnt many basic comon sword techniques easily and was capable of holding his own against even some ordinary novice rank swordsmans, and he has not awakened his mana yet. That would be on his 16th birthday.
The servants soon served them with various dishes and as they almost finished their dinner his father asked Adrian, " tomorrow is your awakening day! Are you ready for it?"
Adrian curtly gave a nod. His father said nothing more and his mother wished him all the best. Adrian then returned to his room and fell asleep on his bed.
It was morning, sunlight was peeking through the curtain of the window, Diana entered the room and tried to awake the young master of the Starlight household. Adrian awoke from his sleep and went to take a bath that was prepared by Diana. After the bath he took his clothes that was neetly ironed by his maid Diana as she always does and wore it. All this time he was thinking about his awakening.
Suddenly he got a headache, it was unbearable for him, he fell on his knees, the pain was insufferable. After what felt like an eternity, he soon recovered from the brain splitting pain and came to his senses. He looked around and seeing he was still in his room and then tried to recall what happened earlier.
Then he remembered a life, life where he was an ordinary worker in a world without mana but ran on technolgy, then dying in that life, he was confused for a while and soon everything became clear. Turns out he had been reincarnated.
'Reincarnation huh' Adrian murmured to himself, ' I never thought all those novels about reincarnation and rebirth would turn out to be true and it would happen to me no less' he thought.
