Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: "I'm Fujimiya Yuuko, his future wife!" (Completed Rough Draft)

{Yuuko's POV}

"Okay, Fuji... oh well, I guess I shouldn't call you that. Yuuko, you'll go in the same class as your fiancé. His parents confirmed everything you said. I will warn you, settle down on the PDA while you're here, though. If not, you'll meet my fist."

"Yes, Hiratsuka-sensei!" I smiled at this eccentric sensei. I knew of her from students that foolishly walked into the old building I used to be stuck in.

'Amane~ Amane~'

My mind always turned pink when he came to mind. He...

He's changed my boring ghostly life into one I wished I had back when I was alive. Better late than never, as they say.

'I wonder how I should introduce myself... wait. That system thing is going to promote him talking to other women right?! I-I have to step up my game!'

My hand instinctively clenched the fabric of my skirt. A cold, spectral chill leaked out of me for a split second, lowering the temperature in the hallway just enough to make Hiratsuka-sensei shiver ahead of me.

I wanted to kiss and make out with him in front of everyone, but the school definitely wouldn't let that fly. Amane wouldn't like that either, but hehe.

'How could he deny me~!'

Following behind Hiratsuka-sensei, I walked to Class 2-1 with light steps, ready to rejoin my lovely Amane.

In no time, we arrived at the classroom as she slid open the doors, walking in as she gave me the look to follow.

"Okay class, we have a transfer student. Though, I'm sure many of you have seen her already thanks to a certain someone's bold carry through the school."

"Hehe~, don't blame my Amane, sensei. I'm the one who asked him."

I scoured through the silent class...

In the back near the window, bathed in the morning sunlight that turned his hair a soft shade of brown, he was staring at me with so much warmth... He looked so relaxed, resting his chin on his palm, completely unfazed by his new found attention.

"No fair, Amane! You're supposed to be embarrassed or something!" I couldn't help but pout.

"Come on, Yuuko, I know you a little too well to expect a normal introduction."

"Oh yeah? Then let me introduce myself."

Brushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear, I straightened my back, letting my chest puff out just a bit—a subtle display of dominance. I stared into the whole class, letting my gaze sweep over every girl in the room before landing back on him.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Fujimiya Yuuko, Amane's fiancé. I hope we get along."

"P-P-Bahahaha~!" Amane's laughter made my heart... well, I don't really have a heart, but imagining I did, he made it beat faster. He wasn't mad or embarrassed, just happy.

"Yuuko, you're really too good for my heart."

He smiled as his eyes gently met mine. I really wish I could read whatever was going through his head. More so, I wish I could send him my deepest thoughts and feelings so he knew how much he meant to me.

The classroom finally reacted. My thoughts got interrupted with their loud shouting.

"WHAT?!"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

"H-HIM OF ALL PEOPLE!"

The girls of the class loved my introduction, but the boys on the other hand didn't seem to like Amane too much. I narrowed my eyes at a group of boys in the front row, letting a flicker of red glow in my irises until they flinched and looked away.

"Calm down, everyone. Yuuko, go sit next to your lovebird. The rest of you, save your foolish questions for lunch!"

Hiratsuka-sensei was a really good teacher if she got rid of the temper I've heard about.

I walked through the rows of desk with everyone watching my every move. The moment I got to the empty desk next to Amane, I decided that I couldn't sit so separated. With a dull thud, I dragged my desk to his.

"Of course, you would."

"What~ I don't have any textbooks dear. You wouldn't leave your fiancé to struggle right?"

"Fiance huh. it would have gotten to that point anyways so I don't' mind already having the title. I'm curious though, how'd you convince the teachers of that?"

Sitting down gracefully, I took his left hand under the desk. I glanced into him, "I called your parents after you fell asleep!"

"..."

His eyes became blank.

"Amane?"

"Y-You called them?"

"Well, not exactly. Your mom called you, and since you were dead to the world, I picked up. It would have been rude to let it ring, don't you think?"

"Yuuko." He turned to me slowly, like a rusted machine. "What. Did. You. Say?"

"Oh ho~, do you really want to know?"

"Please tell me you didn't..."

"I did! I put on my sultriest voice," I smirked, leaning closer until our noses almost touched. "I said, 'Mmm, Amane~ Faster, faster~' and then hung up."

Amane stared at me for a solid three seconds. Then, his shoulders dropped. "Oh. So you just told them I was sleeping and you were staying over."

"Wow." I pulled back, puffing out my cheeks. "You killed my joke instantly."

"You wouldn't dare do that to my parents. You killed it yourself."

"Tch. Stupid, perceptive Amane." I squeezed his hand, annoyed that he knew me so well. "Fine. I answered politely. I told her I was your girlfriend, that we were living together, and that I'm taking very good care of her son."

"And? How did she take it?"

"She was thrilled! She said she was worried you'd be alone forever with how gloomy you used to be. We actually bonded for about an hour."

"Okay... that's... surprisingly wholesome." The color started to return to his face. "So, is that it?"

"Well..." I averted my eyes, drawing circles on the back of his hand with my thumb. "She did say one more thing."

"What?"

"She said she wants to meet the girl who stole her son's heart immediately."

"Okay? We can video call her later."

"Mmm, not exactly."

"Yuuko?"

"She said she's coming over. Tonight."

"Are you serious?"

"I'm serious."

"Are you for real?"

"I'm for real for real."

Amane's soul left his body. Metaphorically speaking, of course. He slumped forward, his forehead hitting the desk with a hollow bonk. I could hear his faint, frantic whispers of "The apartment isn't clean," and "I don't even have enough time to clean."

"Hehe~ Don't worry, I'm going to behave. I don't want your parents hating me after all. Plus we'll clean after school."

I stroked his hair as he continued his display. What really surprised me was that he wasn't worried about his apartment when he brought me over.

'Hehe~ he doesn't hide anything from me~'

I felt so lucky to have him. I don't know how many times I've had these thoughts since I've met him. Before I knew it, while I lost myself in my Amane filled memories, the bell for lunch came quickly.
