Greg lay on his back, blood leaking from a nasty gash on his left thigh. Screaming at the robbed man, he brought himself to his feet, putting pressure on his wound. From the room that Greg had just been in came the other three members, rushing quickly towards the man.
"Greg, are you ok?" Port yelled out, holding his spear at the ready.
"Yeah, just a scratch," Greg grunted out before drawing his knife.
The four thugs faced the door, waiting for their attacker to leave. From inside, Marcus, the armoured man, ducked below the door frame, pulling himself under and through the ruined door. The great sword that had once been upon his back was now drawn and in his hands, coated with blood, it had lost some of its sheen.
"Why are you doing this!?" Merl yelled out towards the robbed man, who was grinning an evil grin while patting Luna on the head.
"Because now that I have a full inventory, you bunch are of no use to me. I let you live before because I felt like giving you pity, but now I'm expressing my gratitude differently." He said, sighing slightly while tugging on the leash and dragging Luna closer to him. "Marcus, you don't need my help to take care of these worthless pieces of trash."
Grunting, Marcus took a heavy step forward towards the group of thugs. Holding his massive great sword at the ready. Taking to the front was Merl, the muscular man, wielding his steel sword and shield. Behind him was Port, having his spear ready. In the very back were Leia and Greg, both of whom had drawn their weapons.
As the group prepared to fight, Greg suddenly grabbed Leia's shoulder and whispered something in her ear. With a hesitant nod, Leia took a step forward. Quickly, Greg dashed past Merl and Port, reaching the front of the formation.
"I'll buy you guys time, kill him, he said, pointing at the robbed man.
With the words, the two man changed their target, charging forward towards the older man. With the two men going after the robbed man, Marcus turned his head, losing focus on the man who was standing in front of him. Greg, screaming, ran towards the hulking man, closing in enough to render the man's massive sword ineffective.
Grunting, Marcus tried to back up, to find that he was too close to the wall. Greg, taking advantage of this, slammed his shoulder directly into the plate armour around Marcus's chest, causing him to stumble slightly. With a quick movement, Greg plunged his knife into one of the weak points of the plate armour. Yelling out, Marcus kicked Greg in the stomache, sending him flying back and tumbling across the floor.
His knife was buried within Marcus's armour, deep blood slowly dripping from the wound. Before Greg could recover, Marcus rushed at him, swinging his massive sword down towards him. With all his might, Greg pushed backwards, narrowly avoiding the attack. Quickly, he stood up and brought his fists in front of him. His breath was ragged, but as Marcus continued to attack him, he dodged each one.
With Marcus occupied with Greg, Merl and Port ran as fast as they could towards the robbed man, rage filling their vision. Luna sat next to the man, unable to move, but her eyes were wide in surprise at the sudden turn of events. The man chuckled while still being seated in his chair. Looking at the spearman, the man opened his mouth, eyes locked with his attacker.
"Kill your friend." He said aloud, and with the words, the room went momentarily silent as Port's body froze. The muscular man, still running, looked back at the spearmen, slowing down slightly.
"What did you do to him, you bastard!" Merl roared, continuing his charge. But as he was about to reach the robbed man, the sound of ragged breath and hard footsteps caused him to turn around instinctively.
Port appeared behind him, his spear thrusting at his chest. In the last moment, Merl brought his shield up and blocked the incoming attack. The reverberation of the spear sent shockwaves through Merl's shield, causing his hand to sting momentarily. His eyes were wide in shock as his friend and companion now tried to strike him down.
"Port! What's wrong with you?! Merl screamed out while blocking another attack aimed at his leg. "Snap out of it, think about your father!"
"Hahaha, he's under my control now, nothing you say can snap him out of it!" The robbed man screamed out, his laughter filling and echoing through the large room. "He won't stop until I am dead, you are dead, or he is dead. Well, unless I tell him to stop, of course, but where's the fun in that?"
Merl looked back at the old, robbed man in shock, his face scrunched in rage. "I'll kill you!" He bellowed.
"You shouldn't take your eyes off your opponent." Suddenly, while Merl was distracted, Port's spear pierced his left thigh, causing him to fall to the ground in agony. Screaming out, he looked up at his friend, who had removed his weapon from his leg and was now staring down at him, raising the spear for another thrust. Blood poured from the wound, pooling underneath Merl's body. Quickly, he began to pale, his colour dissipating as more blood escaped.
"Marl, my boy, I'm sorry." And with those final words, the spear plunged deep into his head, a loud crack echoing from the blow. Blood squirted out of his head as the spear was removed, chunks of brain matter and flesh sticking to the edge of the weapon. Some of the blood fell upon Luna's face; tears built up once again as she witnessed the spearman regain control.
"Oh god, god why, Merl, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," Port shouted, falling to his knees, his clothes now covered in the blood of the friend that he had just murdered. Looking up, his eyes met with the robbed man, and as they did, his fists tightened around the spear. Through grief and anger, he thrust his weapon towards the man, only for his spear to be swatted away like a toy.
Surprise plastered Port's face, his body tumbling to the side. His spear had been knocked out of his hands, completely. Looking at the man, he began to tremble. Rushing forward, Port threw a punch, which was caught effortlessly by the man. Clenching his port's fist, the robbed man stared blankly at him, increasing the pressure he put upon the spearman's hand. With a powerful squeeze, Port crumpled to the ground in agony, his free hand scratching at the robbed man's arm, trying to pry it off.
With a loud cry and crack, Port's hand was finally released, revealing that it had turned completely black and blue. On his knees and with tears running down his face, Port's head was forcibly yanked up, his eyes meeting with the robbed man's. "You are weak, just disposable, your father must have regretted ever having you." The older man said coldly.
Tears flowed even faster from Port's eyes. "No, yo-you're wrong..." He stuttered out. Trying to look away from the man. Bringing Ports' face closer to him, he spoke. "Prostrate." And as the word entered Port's ears, the man released his grip,
Port's head fell to the ground, his body forced to obey the robbed man's command. Prostrating in front of him in defeat. The battle was over. From behind Port, Marcus held Greg by the head; both of his feet were missing, cut off at the ankles. Blood flowed from the open wounds, and grunts filled with agony escaped his palm-covered face. With a final saddened glance at Port from Greg, Marcus squeezed the fat man's head, crushing it like a tomato. Blood streaked Marcus's armour, and bone and brain bits fell all around his feet. Dropping the corpse, Marcus ripped out the dagger planted in him and began to walk towards Luna and the older man.
Marcus, still holding his massive sword, stood in front of the two, looking down at Port. With his plated boot, he stepped upon Port's head, increasing the pressure. His face cracked, and screams echoed as he was pushed harder into the stone floor. First, his nose snapped, then his teeth shattered. Next were the poor spearmen's eyes, bulging due to the increased pressure. Blood flowed from his mouth, nose, and even tears of blood caused his vision to be tinted. With a final loud "Scruch," Port's head collapsed, Marcus's boot sinking deep into the concave skull.
"Disappointing, Marcus, I had to do something." The robbed man sneered.
"Sorry, boss, they were better than I thought," Marcus grumbled while covering his wound.
"No matter." He said, kicking the corpse of Port. Looking around the room, he took note of three corpses. "Marcus, where is the woman?" He asked coldly.
Marcus hesitated for a moment before responding. "I lost her during the fight. I'm sorry, boss."
"Damn it, Marcus!" He yelled, standing up quickly. Pulling Luna closer, he looked her in the eyes. "Follow right behind me." As he spoke those words, he began coughing violently, covering his mouth with his hand. After pulling it away, crimson blood covered his hand.
"Boss, are you okay? Marcus yelled out, rushing towards him.
"Yes, I'm fine, I've just exhausted my skill. I won't be able to use it for a while." He spoke, anger filling his voice. "Carry her, leave the rest behind, she is worth more than all of them." He told Marcus sternly.
Quickly, the armoured man reached down with a grunt and swooped Luna up, placing her on his shoulders. What can I do? I can't take these two on in a fight; I have to wait. Maybe if I'm too much trouble, they'll leave me. Kicking and scratching at Marcus did not have much of an effect, but it was all she could think of doing.
With a loud "boom," the door Luna and the thugs had entered from was pushed open, and around five armed individuals rushed in. Luna's eyes were wide as she recognized many from the bear hunt. Leading the group was a familiar face, the commander. As they entered, screams echoed from all over the room. The dozens of girls begging to be saved.
Why is my heart beating so fast... why is there this heat in my chest? The robbed man cursed suddenly upon seeing the force led by the commander. "Damn it! Marcus, give me some time!" He shouted, tugging on the leash connected to Luna's neck and dragging her down from atop his shoulders. "You're coming with me!" he yelled, yanking on the leash.
Looking back, Luna's eyes met the commanders' eyes. "Luna!" He shouted, drawing a shortsword from his waist and rushing forward towards her. While running, Marcus stepped in front of him, slashing towards him with his massive greatsword, causing him to have to dodge backwards. As Marcus swung his blade wildly, not allowing people to get past him, the robbed man dragged Luna through a door in the back of the room.
The commander, dodging another attack, clenched his jaw, watching as Luna was taken. Shit, I need to get to her, but this bastard is in the way! Dodging another side cleave from the man, he was concentrating on figuring out a plan. "The rest of you, chase after that man, and get that girl back!" He shouted at the other people who had come to help.
"Sir... you are still recovering, there is no way you can take him alone!" One of the soldiers shouted back in panic.
"Don't worry about me, I may have lost my arm, but I can take this armature. Now, once you see the opportunity, get past him and go get her!" The commander shouted while dodging another attack.
As he stepped back, the commander took the opportunity to examine Marcus further. Full plate mail armour, greatsword, big body... He's strong, but slow! The commander thrust his sword out, targeting one of the slivers between the plate armour. In defence, Marcus used the hilt of his greatsword to parry the attack, sending the attack bouncing off his chest. Sensing that he was off balance, a few soldiers tried to dash by the hulking man.
"Not so fast!" Marcus yelled out, turning towards the soldiers and raising his sword.
"I'm your opponent!" The commander screamed, thrusting his sword, planting it deep within the armoured man's upper thigh, right in between where the leggings and chest plate met.
Screaming out, Marcus swung his weapon wildly at the commander, not allowing him to pull the sword from the wound. With this opportunity, the four guards dashed by, running towards the room where Luna was taken.
A big smile appeared across the commander's face. "It's over, surrender!" He shouted. I'm smiling because Luna will probably be saved, but that sword was the only weapon I had since I came here in a hurry.
"Surrender? Old man, I see that you have nothing to fight with! He bellowed while breaking the sword in his leg in half.
The commander's jaw tightened as he raised his fist. "I still have one thing." He said.
"Hahahah, that man tried the same thing earlier, and he had two hands." He laughed wildly while pointing at Greg's body.
"Well, I'm no half-rate thug." The commander chuckled with a smile.
