Chapter One: Lin Yue
I, Lin Yue, once a spoiled child, mistreated by my own family, never imagined my life would end like this.

In the real world, I was a mother of four. After giving birth to my fourth child, I went out for some fresh air by the bridge—and someone pushed me.
But that wasn't the beginning.
It all started with my childhood sweetheart.
We grew up in the same neighborhood, ran through the same streets, and shared the same foolish dreams. By the time we were in high school, we were inseparable. By the first year of college, I discovered I was pregnant. The timing terrified me, but he accepted me completely. He promised to marry me after his graduation, and I believed him.
At twenty-three, I gave birth to twins, making three children in total. He graduated while I was still in my third year. He found a job and spoke of me openly—told everyone in the office he would die for me, that I was the only woman he had ever loved.
By my graduation, I discovered I was three months pregnant again. I was overjoyed—I wanted to tell him in person, thinking our marriage would finally be official, a gift to both our families.
But when we went to register, he didn't show up.
For six months, everyone searched for him. My heart broke slowly, each day sharper than the last. Rumors spread, and then I saw him on television. My eldest son, barely old enough to understand, pointed and whispered, "Mom… Daddy."
I ran to see for myself. He stood there, smiling, announcing his engagement to another woman.
Denial clawed at me. That night, I went into labor.
