Chapter 14 - Hellish Training (Part Two)

I did not finish this hellish training until the sun rose. Afterwards, Odin insisted that I return to Asars and ask him about the information he said he would look for about Osman's palace (house).

As we walked, I asked him, "So, Odin, what kind of questions do you want me to ask that fat Asarus?"

Odin looked at me and said in a boastful tone, "Hmm, well, based on my experience and my people's experience with wars, especially wars like this, nothing in this life is perfect, especially in fortified palaces. There must be entry and exit points, and there must be visitors and workers inside the palace. In other words, there will be vehicles going in and out. Ask Asarus about them, and perhaps he will find a way to bribe someone."

I looked at him and was surprised. We hadn't thought of it that way, especially since we are not experienced in this kind of theft. "Okay, I will go and find out what he is looking for and I will tell him what You told me "

After I arrived, I looked for Asarus and found him. Well, he was looking at me with surprise and confusion.

That brute's expression was disgusted with me. He should be disgusted by my smell.

Asarus looked in surprise at the boy standing in front of him. "Cyrus, why are you so sweaty and messy? Have you gone mad, you rascal?!"

"No, no, Asars, I'm training for the mission."

"Hmph, since when does training make you like this? About eight hours ago we were talking about the mission, and you want to tell me this morning that you've been training?"

"So, Asars, before I left you said you'd look for information about the palace's defenses. What did you do?"

Asars looked at me and said, "Well, I was looking for information about the number of guards and watchers, the size of the palace, and possible obstacles."

Odin commented in amazement, "Hmm, despite his sheep-like appearance, he's intelligent."

"So, did you have any luck?"

He looked at me angrily. "Hmm, unfortunately not, but I found out the approximate number of guards around the wall at night. That's the best I could do. That bastard Osman, his reputation really scares people."

A look down in despair "Damn it. So, did you look for the exits and entrances?"

"Hmm, what do you mean?"

"What I mean is that there must be a gap we can exploit to get past the wall and enter."

Asars looked at me thoughtfully. Hmm, he was scratching his chin. Well, he was scratching something on his fat face. You wouldn't be able to tell his chin or neck from how fat he was.

"Hmm, gaps like what?"

"Look, it's a big palace, well, and it's surrounded by walls. Dozens of carriages must be going inside, including visitors and merchants who want to make deals with him. Maybe we can bribe them so I can get into their carriages, or I can sneak into one of them and get in."

Asars's look was almost convinced, but there wasn't much hope. "Hmm, that might be a little difficult, but what about the checkpoints? They must search the carriages at some point as they enter. And what about the guards inside the palace? Hmm, it's a very difficult way, boy."

"Don't worry, Asars. Just do as I say, and I'm sure you'll find a way."

"Okay, I'll see what I can do."

Odin looked up, rubbing his chin, commenting on Asars's words, "Hmm, good that he understands, and from his look, I think there's someone in his mind who can get you into the palace in his carriage."

He glanced at Asars's back as he went into his office. He was thinking, "Well, after all, the mission concerns him, so he'll make sure it's completed successfully.

" Oh, I almost forgot, then Asars shouted, "Asars, while I'm gone this week, tell Lant and Lark that you sent me on a mission to herd sheep and rob travelers."

He continued on his way and ignored me, but he heard me. He'll deal with Lark and Lant somehow.

After that, I took enough supplies and went to the secluded courtyard. As soon as I arrived, Odin bared his fangs again.

"Now, you lazy bum, begin your training. I will show you no mercy for the next five days, and the more you slack off, the more training you'll endure."

"Damn that face again!"

Then I went to train, and he was incredibly cruel and mean to me. He made me do each exercise 1000 times, and if I slowed down even a little, he'd make me repeat it all over again, claiming I was being lazy.

After five hours—

"nine hundred and sixty-five, nine hundred and sixty-six"—damn it! My mind was racing, and my body was throbbing with pain. During that second, I was a little slow.

Odin looked at me angrily. Well, it was definitely feigned anger; he was actually enjoying my torture.

.

"You bastard! You dare slack off during your training? Start again now, and all the exercises will increase to 1200, understand?"

I looked at him in shock and hatred.

"You dare look at me like that? Start your training, you wretched slave! I won't call you by your name until you finish your training, you bastard!"

'Damn it, I take it back. He's a vile demon.'

Then I started the squat exercise, and every time I reached 500, he found a reason to send me back to zero.

And then the pressure, and then the running, and after the running he made me carry my weight on the trees to train my hands, and then until the evening when the sun began to set.

Good, good, now you have done a decent workout. Now take a half-hour break and let's start again.

I was panting heavily, my whole body ached, even talking was very difficult for me, even sitting and breathing hurt.

I said to him in a tired tone and very slowly, "Hahaha...damn...are you...a demon...or what?"

Odin looked at me sarcastically and was tumbling in the air until he sat on the palm tree. "Hmm, hahaha, because of your comment, the rest time will be reduced to a quarter of an hour."

"Whaaaat!"
