"Have you ever seen this girl?"
Right now, Elmesia is in Tempest City, accompanied by an Oni, Kijika, from Navark to keep an eye on things.
So while in the Kijika's presence, she asked Rimuru the question about Eren while showing him a portrait of her.
Judging by the fact that Rimuru has a last name, Tempest, he doesn't come from Apolloyon's lineage. Moreover, since Apolloyon sent Kijika to escort her, he most likely doesn't consider Rimuru a direct subordinate.
Still, she can't touch him because he is under Navark.
Rimuru squinted his imaginary slime eyes and looked at the portrait of Eren.
"Ah! I think I have seen her, with two dumb looking guys."
"Really? Where did you see her, and when? She has been missing for a while."
"I saw them going into Veldora's cave. I don't know what happened after that though. If you don't mind, I will help you in finding them!"
Rimuru left out the part that he saw them when he was leaving the cave. It's not good for people to know that he was behind Veldora's disappearance.
Especially after Apolloyon's reaction of it. While Rimuru has gotten Ultraspeed Regeneration, he was stripped of Great Sage and left with an Extra skill Sage, and Veldora was also taken away.
Still, if the girl, Eren has really gone missing, he will do everything to find her back.
Not just because an elf is asking him.
Definitely not!
Seeing Rimuru, Elmesia determined that he really isn't the one behind Eren's disappearance. But he is probably the last one who has seen her.
The assassin X who tried to cause war between Sarion and Navark is really the most likely suspect.
"Thanks for offering your help, Rimuru-dono."
"Ahahaha!"
She smiled at him, and he started dissolving into a blushing mess.
'Ah. He has an elf fetish.'
Elmesia remembered the report, and left Great Jura Forest.
Back at Sarion, which has been mostly emptied just in case, Leon, and Guy were waiting for her.
Leon had called him here just in case Milim attacked Sarion.
"So, is Milim going to attack?"
"Thankfully, her adopted brother is smart enough to determine the enemy's scheme.
Just when I had arrived in Great Jura Forest, an unknown assassin attacked him.
Even Noir couldn't find any traces of them."
"What the!? Noir is serving that slime!?"
Guy frowned at this drastic change in the power balance of the world.
First, Veldora disappeared.
Then, Milim named a slime of all monsters arbitrarily. And even gave him her last name.
She destroyed Ramiris's dungeon along with the country it was in, apparently to kill something from the future, that Ramiris couldn't tell what species it was. Ramiris has since started trying to sneak into his domain to settle there.
Now Noir is serving that Apolloyon. Well, Noir is a weirdo.
He heard more from Elmesia.
Noir has incarnated along with his whole lineage, and been given names.
Apolloyon has evolved into a True Demon Lord. So, he must have existed for a long time to get 10,000 human souls unnoticed.
Some underling of Luminous tries to assassinate him and got caught.
And therefore Apolloyon is going to launch a religion based on Veldanava to pick a fight against Luminous.
"Hero Trials..."
And as a part of the fight against Luminous, he is going to create Heroes.
"Can he really do that?"
"I am sure that he can. His subordinates were something like High Elves, possessing the power of Greater Spirits. Many of them even having multiple elements."
"He is just doing anything he wants huh?"
Fusing others with spirits, making Heroes that's supposed to be Ramiris's job...
But putting all of that aside, even he and Noir couldn't catch the assassin.
Who would want to start a war between Sarion and Navark? And who would want Veldora gone from the picture?
Leon muttered, "So, this mysterious X might have the power to make Veldora disappear into a place that no one can perceive..."
And Chloe as well...
Guy got up with a smirk.
"Well, since Milim is not attacking, there is no point of me staying here.
Though with the Trial of Heroes coming, I guess a Walpurgis is in order huh?"
Though he is the mediator of the world, as long as no major species go extinct, and the world isn't destroyed, it's fine.
And the more Heroes, the better for humanity.
Though, he will have to get Luminous to understand to handle her underlings better. He doesn't want to handle another of Milim's rampage. Ramiris wouldn't be able to help him this time.
Guy went back to his domain, looking forward to the developments.
Leon was also getting up to leave, but Guy appeared again, and tossed him something, and disappeared with these words.
"Take care of Ramiris for me."
"Ah! I got kicked out! Oh, it's Leon-chan! I am going to—"
Leon refused to take in Ramiris and teleported back to El Dorado.
"AAAAAAAAAH! I don't wanna be homeless!"
What she didn't know, was that someone is going to make her jobless as well by making Heroes.
