Chapter 6 - Ch6: Fractures at the Spire's Peak

°༺{RESONANCE}༻°

The violent tremors radiating from the foundation of the Sky-Tower were no ordinary earthquake. It was a surge of pure, raw energy that set the very air in the penthouse vibrating. To the masses below, the spectacle at the summit was nothing more than a bizarre light show that vanished as quickly as it had appeared. The glass walls, which had been transparent only moments ago, slammed back into an opaque black—a fail-safe triggered by Vera's frantic coding before the world turned to chaos.

『 Sir... forget about the challenge for now. The seal of 'The Devourer' is far too dangerous for your current level. Tactical retreat is the only logical path. 』

Rowie grunted, feeling a pressure against his ribs that threatened to crush his lungs. He wasn't a fool. He knew when to push and when to pull back.

Store Elena and Jax. Now! Rowie commanded through his mental link.

In an instant, Jax—still standing in that dark, distant alley—and Elena Vane, perched in the backseat of the car, began to glow with a soft, ethereal light. They were pulled through microscopic dimensional rifts, sucked into the [Inventory Collection]—the System's private pocket dimension for Rowie's human assets. There, they entered a state of active hibernation, waiting to be "deployed" back into reality at their master's whim.

Space itself distorted around the remaining group. A second later, Rowie, Vera, Mia, and Ishtar materialized in a lavish, hidden suite on the outskirts of Oakhaven. The room was deathly quiet, save for the sound of ragged breathing echoing against the cold, expensive marble.

Vera collapsed onto the floor, clutching her transparent laptop to her chest as if it were a lifeline. The device was a Hardware Relic, a piece of mythic tech that had manifested the moment Rowie bound her to his cause. Only she could see the flickering holographic displays of encrypted system data.

Rowie glanced down at her. "The System says you've worked hard enough for one night. You're free to roam the real world, Vera. Go. But remember—one call from me, and you're back at my side."

Vera looked up at him with a complex tangle of emotions. "You're giving me freedom after binding me like this? You're a strange man, Boss."

A dimensional portal shimmered behind her, drawn from the coordinates of her subconscious mind. Without another word, the hacker vanished. When Rowie turned back, Ishtar was gone as well. The System Avatar had used a loophole in her authority to retreat back into the data core. Rowie let out a thin smile; taming a "Goddess" was never going to be an overnight job.

Now, only Mia remained. The corporate spy stood as still as a statue under the weight of [Absolute Command]. Rowie stepped into her space, the scent of her skin and the sharp aroma of her tight latex uniform reigniting his senses.

"Can we restore her full consciousness?" Rowie asked aloud.

『 Of course, Sir. Shall I initiate the wake-up sequence? 』

"Do it," Rowie replied.

⫷ SYSTEM: FULL CONSCIOUSNESS RESTORATION ACTIVATED ⫸

❃ Target: Mia | Status: Loyalty 60% ❃

Rowie hooked a finger under Mia's chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "I want you to serve me of your own accord, Mia. I'd hate for you to reject a face as perfect as mine."

Mia's eyes blinked, the spark of life returning to her pupils. She gasped, suddenly aware of how dangerously close they were, but the Dark-Bond contract had already sown the seeds of an undeniable dependency.

"I don't reject you, Master..." Mia whispered, her hand trembling as she touched Rowie's arm. "But before you go any further, there's something you need to know. Elena Vane... she isn't some innocent victim. She was working with my father on the experiments beneath the Sky-Tower. She's a viper, deadlier than I ever was."

"Hmph." Rowie let out a low, baritone chuckle that sent a shiver down Mia's spine. "Snakes or traitors, it doesn't matter. They're all just pawns in my hand."

Suddenly, a golden notification panel flared in Rowie's vision.

༺ FEATURE EVOLUTION DETECTED: DAILY QUESTS ༻

『 Reward: +2 Contract Coins per completed mission. 』

『 Support Device: Visual-Feed (Ocular Implant) has been transmitted to targets in Collection. 』

Rowie smirked. "I see. For Jax and Elena... I'll put them to work."

『 Understood. They will move according to your instructions. Every action they take will appear on your Visual-Feed for confirmation. First Mission Target: Clean up the rats from your past who once harmed you. 』

Rowie turned his full attention back to Mia. The desire he'd been suppressing since the alleyway had reached its boiling point. "System, don't peek. I have private business with Mia."

『 Certainly, Sir. I shall deactivate visual sensors. However, before I go, may I request something? 』

Rowie raised an eyebrow, his hands finding the curve of Mia's hips, swathed in shimmering black latex. "What?"

『 I have only been referred to as 'The System' until now. Give me a name. What kind of name do you prefer, Master? 』

Rowie paused, his fingers exploring the contours of Mia's body as she pressed herself against him, her breath hitching at the crook of his neck. "Rosea or Mosara? Which do you like?"

『 I prefer Mosara, Sir. 』

"Fine. Your name is Mosara."

『 Thank you, Master, for acknowledging me fully. Interaction features have been upgraded. You may call my name when you are finished. 』

Tink!

The screen vanished. Rowie finally had his privacy. He let his hand slide down Mia's arm to her fingertips—a subtle invitation that made her spin to face him. Mia exhaled a long, shaky breath, her eyes heavy with longing. Her tight latex dress caught the dim light of the suite, accentuating every provocative line of her body.

Rowie didn't wait. He swept his arm under her knees and back, lifting her in one powerful motion. Mia let out a soft cry, wrapping her arms around his neck as their lips met in a hungry, demanding kiss.

He carried her toward the expansive master bedroom. In the shadows, Rowie's dominance was absolute. Mia was no longer the haughty spy; in his hands, she was a woman who hungered only for her master's conquest. That night, amidst the silence of Oakhaven, Rowie solidified his rule—not through code, but through fire.

While Rowie enjoyed his "reward," outside in the night, two shadows from his collection—Jax and Elena—began to move under the glow of the Visual-Feed.
