Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Heist and the Hero

The school bus hummed as we arrived at the massive glass monolith known as Oscorp Tower.

We were greeted by Norman Osborn himself, acting like the perfect "goody-two-shoes" billionaire.

He handed us off to a scientist to show us around the various research floors.

Gwen Stacy was already there, looking professional in her intern lab coat.

As we walked from project to project, the air became heavy with the voices of the Red.

The lab animals were talking to me—pleading, screaming, begging for me to free them.

I clenched my fists. I couldn't do anything as Chris, the student.

But "Pain" was a different story.

Finally, we reached the containment area for the genetically modified spiders.

As the guide droned on about spider history and synthetic webbing, I saw it.

A small, shimmering spider descended on a silk thread, landing softly on Peter's neck.

He felt the sting and smacked it, exactly like in the movies.

The transformation had begun.

The rest of the trip was a blur. Peter started looking pale and shaky.

Since he was clearly unwell, I took it upon myself to escort him home.

I stopped to say goodbye to Norman and had a brief, intense conversation with Gwen about our mutual interest in biology.

She seemed impressed with my knowledge. If only she knew where it came from.

After dropping Peter off and checking in with Aunt May, I headed home to wait for the cover of night.

The moment the sun went down, I suited up.

I checked my new handgun and strapped my newly purchased katana to my back.

I moved through the shadows toward Oscorp, my feline senses guiding me through the dark.

I avoided every camera, moving with the absolute silence Selene had taught me.

To stay undetected, I shifted fully into a cat, padding softly through the sterile hallways.

When I reached the animal testing labs, the stench of fear and chemicals was overwhelming.

Oscorp really is a terrible company.

I began unlocking cages, freeing dozens—no, hundreds—of creatures.

But I wasn't just there for a rescue mission.

I raided the digital archives, stealing encrypted genetic research on the spiders and several other high-tier projects.

By the time I slipped back into my bedroom window, I was exhausted but exhilarated.

I had the data, the animals were free, and tomorrow, my best friend would wake up as a god.

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, a smirk tugging at my lips.

The MCU was about to get its Spider-Man.

And the world was about to see what "Pain" could really do.
