By the time they finally left the apartment, Olivia looked completely satisfied with herself, while Alex had already accepted that his peaceful day was over.
Somehow, the woman who had later coaxed him after the sex that they were only going out for a little shopping had turned the simple trip into what felt like a military campaign on steroids. Alex followed beside her through the large shopping center, carrying several bags in both hands without showing the slightest sign of effort.
He glanced down at the bags hanging from his fingers and then at Olivia, who was currently standing in front of another clothing display, examining a dress with the kind of concentration one would give something very important.
Alex sighed inwardly. Shopping and women really are like five and six. They are both completely inseparable. He had already lost count of how many stores they had entered.
Olivia, however, seemed to be getting happier with every one.
