Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Burning Youth

A madman.

A complete and utter madman.

Those were the only two words left echoing through Might Guy's mind.

He finally realized that the "ultimate training plan" he'd spent all night carefully designing wasn't actually a suicide manual at all.

For the disciple standing before him, that level of intensity was probably just a warm-up exercise.

"I see..."

Guy took a deep breath, his eyes burning with an unprecedented mixture of shock and excitement.

"Since you crave this so intensely, Lee! Then I'll respond to you with the most passionate flames of youth imaginable!"

"Konoha Great Whirlwind!"

This time, Might Guy didn't hold back even slightly. He transformed into a green blur and appeared directly in front of Rock Lee in an instant, his kick carrying overwhelming force!

Lee's pupils contracted sharply as the impact sent him flying more than ten meters before he crashed violently into a tree trunk.

[Extensive injuries detected throughout the body. Vitality Points +200.]

'Perfect. With 50% of the pain blocked, I barely feel anything.'

'At this rate, wouldn't my point accumulation efficiency double?'

'Maybe even more!'

A more insane, bolder, and significantly more efficient farming strategy instantly took shape in his mind.

'Retirement... it might arrive even sooner than I imagined.'

Rock Lee shakily pushed himself to his feet and spent 20 Vitality Points on basic repairs.

It only cost 20 points, and the effect was immediate and remarkable.

His limbs, which had been twisted and deformed just moments ago, made soft clicking sounds as chakra flowed through them. Although they weren't completely restored to their original condition, they at least regained their basic mobility.

Swaying slightly as he found his balance, Lee grinned widely, revealing blood-stained teeth. His smile was so radiant it was almost terrifying.

"Guy-sensei... your youth truly burns as hot as the summer sun!"

Might Guy's pupils dilated in shock.

He knew better than anyone exactly how much force he'd put behind that Konoha Great Whirlwind attack.

That was a devastating blow capable of completely incapacitating a Chunin-level shinobi.

But Lee, the disciple who'd been clinging to that tree trunk like a broken ragdoll just seconds earlier, hadn't just stood back up. Judging from his expression, he was actually excited about what had happened.

"Lee, you..."

Before Guy could finish his sentence, Rock Lee had already lowered himself into a combat stance again, like a predator locking onto its prey.

"Guy-sensei, I can keep going! My youth has only just begun to burn!"

The words were barely out of his mouth before he charged forward again, dragging his battered body with pure determination!

No fancy techniques. No clever strategy. Just the purest, most primitive straight-line assault imaginable!

What he needed right now wasn't to defeat Guy. What he needed was to absorb as much damage as efficiently as possible!

"He's completely insane... this guy is absolutely out of his mind!"

Even Might Guy felt a profound sense of disbelief wash over him at that moment.

But when he looked into Rock Lee's eyes, which blazed with nothing but pure, undiluted fighting spirit, the blood pumping through his own veins ignited completely.

That's right!

Since his disciple had already thrown aside all consideration for life and death, how could he, as the teacher, possibly hold back!

"Excellent, Lee! Let me see exactly where the limits of your youth truly lie!"

BANG!BOOM!CRACK!

Dull thuds and the sickening sound of bones breaking created a brutal symphony throughout Training Ground Three.

For the next solid hour, this place transformed completely into Rock Lee's personal point-farming paradise and Might Guy's youth certification arena.

[Left ulna fracture detected. Vitality Points +60.]

[Sternum crack detected. Vitality Points +110.]

[Consuming 30 Vitality Points to restore basic functionality to left arm.]

[Detecting...]

Rock Lee was completely immersed in this high-risk, high-reward grinding mode.

With 50% of his pain sensation blocked by the system, the remaining discomfort actually served as a catalyst, keeping him alert and focused on his objectives with razor-sharp clarity.

Every time he was knocked away, every bone that fractured, it meant his retirement fund grew just a little bit larger.

His attacks became increasingly reckless with each exchange. He would even deliberately use his most vulnerable body parts to intercept Guy's punches and kicks, purely to inflict more severe injuries on himself and rack up additional points.

But in Might Guy's eyes, this entire scene was being interpreted in a completely different way.

His disciple, Rock Lee, was embodying the true meaning of hard work and dedication with his very life!

Every time he fell down, he got back up even faster than before!

Each time he sustained serious wounds, he charged forward with even more fervent fighting spirit!

This wasn't some monster that couldn't feel pain. This was someone who had transcended the very concept of physical suffering!

This was pure iron will trampling bodily agony beneath its feet!

"Yes! Yes! Burn, Lee! This is what youth means!"

Might Guy was moved to tears, and his attacks became even more ferocious in response.

He would answer his disciple's burning determination with the fiercest assault he could deliver!

As the sun began its descent toward the horizon, it bathed the entire training ground in golden-red light.

"Huff... huff..."

Might Guy finally stopped moving, his forehead covered in heavy sweat, his chest heaving with violent breaths.

Even he felt genuinely exhausted from the intensity of their extended sparring session.

He looked toward where his student had fallen.

Rock Lee lay sprawled across the ground like a discarded puppet, his body almost entirely covered in visible wounds. His green training suit had been torn to absolute shreds and was soaked completely through with blood, making him look utterly wretched and pitiful.

But even in that condition, one of his hands was still trembling as it tried to push his body up from the dirt.

[Vitality Points Balance: 2,850 points.]

Lee stared at those beautiful numbers displayed on his system interface and felt overwhelming satisfaction surge through him.

'One day!'

'I've already earned over a thousand points in just a single day!'

'These performance metrics are absolutely insane! And this is even accounting for the fact that repeated injuries to the same location don't count toward point accumulation. Otherwise, the total would be even higher!'

He forcefully suppressed the urge to immediately exchange points for complete body restoration, continuing to play his role as the "hardworking genius" whose willpower surpassed all human limits.

"Guy-sensei... I... I can still..."

"That's enough, Lee!"

Might Guy appeared beside him in a flash, stopping him with an unprecedentedly serious tone of voice.

He crouched down beside his student's broken form, looking at Lee's miserable condition. His eyes filled with indescribable shock mixed with overwhelming pride.

"Today, you've proven the strength of your youth!" Guy's voice came out slightly hoarse with emotion. "But, Lee, you need to remember something crucial. Raw power alone doesn't equal true strength. Your willpower has surpassed steel itself, but your actual technique is still just a rough, unrefined iron blank."

Rock Lee felt genuinely surprised and looked up at his teacher.

"Guy-sensei..."

"Every attack you launch carries tremendous power, but it's far too scattered and unfocused." Guy pointed one finger at Rock Lee's chest for emphasis. "It's like spilling a bucket of water onto the ground. It makes plenty of noise and looks impressive, but it can't actually penetrate solid rock. True taijutsu mastery is about concentrating all your strength and will into a single point of impact!"

He slowly withdrew his finger and clenched it into a tight fist.

"Be like an explosive tag! Release every bit of your accumulated energy the exact moment you make contact with your target! That's what real efficiency means! That's what genuine destructive power looks like!"

Rock Lee felt completely shaken by those words.

He understood now.

Guy-sensei was teaching him the true core philosophy behind effective taijutsu combat.

This aligned perfectly with his understanding of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do principles from his previous life: simple, direct, and brutally efficient.

In that past life, Bruce Lee had been his idol. He'd always wanted to embody those same qualities of standing tall with dignity and strength. Now, in this world, he had the opportunity to take that dream even further.

His previous approach to training had essentially just been "getting beaten up while farming points." Although his raw physical capabilities were definitely improving, his actual combat technique and skill were completely stagnating.

But if he could combine the proper techniques that Guy-sensei was teaching him with his system's immortality...

What a terrifying combination that would create!

The mental image appeared vividly in his mind: taking an opponent's ultimate finishing move head-on, standing back up completely unharmed, and then responding with a single bullet-like strike imbued with every ounce of concentrated power, instantly piercing straight through their defenses.

Just imagining that scenario made his blood pump faster with excitement!

"I understand completely... Guy-sensei!" Rock Lee struggled to give his teacher a weak but incredibly determined smile despite his condition.

"Excellent!" Guy nodded with deep satisfaction, then effortlessly hoisted Lee onto his shoulder in one smooth motion. "Training's finished for today! I'm taking you out for yakiniku! Proper protein intake is an absolutely essential component of maintaining your youth!"

Carried securely on his teacher's broad shoulders, Rock Lee looked at Might Guy's strong back silhouetted against the warm glow of the setting sun. He felt a sense of genuine peace and belonging he'd never experienced before in either of his lives.

This teacher, who was so intensely passionate he bordered on naive sometimes, seemed far more reliable and trustworthy than Lee had initially given him credit for.

After one full day of absolutely frantic training, he'd gained far more than just Vitality Points. He'd also received the true fundamental key to walking the path toward genuine power.

Even in just this single day of extreme training, he could physically feel his body growing stronger through the endless cycle of destruction and restoration. The total amount of chakra flowing through his system had noticeably increased as well.

He could hardly imagine how incredibly powerful he would become after maintaining this training regimen for a full month. Or a year. Or even five years, by the time the Fourth Great Ninja War eventually arrived according to the timeline he remembered.

His gaze drifted past Guy's shoulder toward the distant Hokage Monument carved into the mountainside, his eyes gleaming with newfound ambition and determination.

From an angle where Might Guy couldn't possibly see his expression, Rock Lee murmured softly in a voice only he could hear, speaking to himself with complete certainty.

"Guy-sensei..."

He paused deliberately, the curve of his lips widening into a satisfied smile. His eyes filled with endless anticipation after having tasted the incredible results of this training method.

"Let's do this again tomorrow."

The sun continued its descent, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange and red, as teacher and student made their way toward the village for a well-earned meal.

Tomorrow would bring new challenges, new pain, and new opportunities for growth.

Rock Lee's retirement plan was proceeding exactly according to schedule.

One brutal training session at a time.
