Chapter 7 - CHAPTER : 7 The Sword and the Treasure Room

The queen rushed to her, holding her tightly.

"Elizabeth? Elizabeth?" she whispered, voice trembling.

The sealed man's eyes scanned the scene.

"What a pitiful sight," he said softly.

He lifted his leg from the king, who was kneeling in agony.

The king gritted his teeth, enduring the pain.

The sealed man fixed his gaze on him.

"Tell me," he said, calm and deliberate,

"your child already knows about me…

so you…must also know me as well, right?"

The king gritted his teeth, pain and blood dripping from his wounds.

"Yes… we know about you," he said, voice strained.

You are "The Reaper of the World… Shin Yato."

The sealed man's lips curved into a faint smile.

"Oh? Everyone knows my name now?"

The king shook his head, still kneeling.

"No… not everyone. Only a few people know of you."

Shin Yato's dark eyes narrowed.

"Why?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.

The king swallowed hard, blood still dripping from his forehead.

"We… we don't know the full story," he said.

"All we know is that there are tales of you being sealed.

It's been passed down through generations."

Shin Yato's smile was thin, almost amused.

"Generations, huh?"

He leaned closer, eyes glinting.

"So… what year is this?"

The king's voice was barely a whisper.

"1788."

Shin Yato's lips curved into a thin smile.

"So… a thousand years, huh?" he murmured.

"I lost count of the days."

He leaned forward, reaching toward Elizabeth.

The queen instinctively shielded her daughter, holding her tightly.

Her body shook, fear coursing through her, while Elizabeth remained blank, her eyes wide and unseeing.

Shin Yato's smile widened.

"Trying to protect her, huh?"

"Such a devoted mother."

His gaze locked on the queen's eyes.

"Women… you can be so… annoying."

In an instant, a flash of motion — and one of the queen's eyes was struck.

She screamed, blood spilling, and the pain tore through her.

The horror of the moment froze everyone else in place.

The king screamed, his voice breaking.

"Please… don't touch them. Please."

Even in agony, the queen held Elizabeth tighter, her body shaking, yet refusing to let go.

Shin Yato sighed.

"Relax," he said casually.

"I won't kill her."

He lifted the queen's eye slightly, examining it.

"Should I take the other one too?"

The queen whimpered but did not release her daughter.

Shin Yato's finger moved.

A small black flame ignited at its tip.

He pressed it lightly against Elizabeth's abdomen.

Elizabeth screamed as pain tore through her, deeper than flesh — something inside her shattered.

Shin Yato stepped back.

He turned to the king, smiling.

"You know this already," he said.

"One of the people who sealed me was your ancestor."

"So I will seal hers too, ensuing the next generation of your bloodline suffer no different fate."

His smile widened.

"If you ever try to defy that fate…"

"You already know what I'll do."

As the king stood frozen, Shin Yato laughed softly.

"Where is my sword?"

The king flinched.

"Sword…?" he repeated, confused, broken by pain and sorrow.

Yato tilted his head.

"Yes. I can feel it. It's here."

The king shook his head in horror.

"I… I don't know."

Yato's smile faded slightly.

"Don't know?" he said, irritation creeping into his voice.

Everyone stiffened.

They thought this was the end.

Then Yato chuckled.

"It's fine," he said calmly.

"I already know where it is."

He turned away and added, without emotion,

"You will die today. That is the price you owe."

He paused.

"But not yet."

In the next instant, he leapt downward, crashing through the stone floor—

descending into the underground treasure chamber.

As Shin Yato entered the treasure room,

everyone outside collapsed, their strength failing,

overcome by despair.

The kingdom's healer rushed toward the king, queen, and Elizabeth, tending to their wounds.

People murmured nervously among themselves.

One minister's voice was faint.

"Your Majesty… hurry. Now is your chance. Take the queen and the princess and flee

The king's voice was weak, barely audible.

"Flee… where? It's useless. He is an ancient demon… sealed by most powerful peoples of that time."

A second minister asked, trembling,

"Then… is there a way to kill this calamity?"

The king shook his head in sorrow.

"There is no way to kill him. That is why our ancestors sealed him… because even they could not destroy him.""Your Majesty… what should we do? Are we doomed?" everyone asked.

The king could not answer .

Meanwhile, in the treasure room, Shin Yato stepped inside.

The chamber was sealed tight.

He glanced around, a faint smile on his lips.

"Oh… you were sealed too, huh?" he murmured.
