Lena Cooper moved her body down on the seat to let her head rest properly on the headrest.
After shooting for three days straight, she felt so tired and worn out.
She slowly drifted into a sound sleep, but soon her peaceful slumber was interrupted by a sad dream.
Lena moved her head vigorously and struggled in her sleep as if she were trying to escape.
She cried and screamed, to Lola and Autumn's surprise.
Both of them turned to her, and Lola lightly tapped her to wake her up.
Lena opened her eyes, startled, then realized she was still inside the plane.
She relaxed and looked away from Lola's questioning eyes.
They soon arrived at the airport.
She got out with her manager and assistant and waited for them to get her bag.
Lena removed her sunglasses for a minute, but before she could hide from their eyes, someone had already spotted her.
"Lena, Lena, Lena…!"
All of her fans gathered around her, screaming her name and taking lots of pictures.
Her manager tried to walk past them, but tons of reporters had already gathered around her, trying to get information.
"Lena, an article was released saying you are going to act in Director William's new movie. Can you please tell us more about it? What is your role in the movie?"
They started asking her different questions all at once.
"The company is going to release an official article soon. Lena is really tired right now, so please excuse us," her manager said.
Her bodyguards arrived and escorted her out of the airport, with her manager and assistant following closely behind. Immediately they got into the car, Lena's facial expression changed from a smile to a stern look.
"My phone," she said, facing her assistant.
Autumn turned to look at her manager, Lola, for approval.
"Just give it to her. There is nothing more for today."
"Okay," Autumn said and handed the phone to her.
Lena opened her phone and found some missed calls and many messages, both from Mrs. James and Cleo.
Those two were such a pain in the neck. A pain she wanted to get rid of.
Lena is a top model, and a very popular one. Nobody knows her actual background and believes the lies fabricated by Lola and her company.
She is very beautiful, with long brown hair and baby blue eyes, and that loving smile she never takes off her face, which makes her exceptional and greatly loved.
She became a model three years ago, beating every other star in her company to become the top and most sought-after, with a great number of fans.
"Lena, have you heard anything about you taking part in the movie? How could Ron not inform me about these things?" Lola said, sounding annoyed, but Lena knew she wasn't and remained silent.
"You don't look surprised at all, nor are you asking me any questions," Lola added when she saw Lena wasn't responding.
"Why are you asking like you don't know…" Autumn said, but Lola's look shut her up.
"Drop me off first," Lena said.
"Okay, no problem. But make sure you are ready by ten tomorrow. The driver will be waiting for you," Lola replied.
"Why? There is nothing on my schedule from now till next week," Lena said displeased.
"It's not for any work. The CEO would like to see you."
"Okay," she agreed as the car pulled to the side just outside her house.
She got down and walked straight to her mailbox to check for any new mail, but there was none, so she headed for the door.
Immediately she entered, she saw Chris standing at the entrance waiting for her.
She walked past him and headed to the kitchen to drink some water.
She dropped the cup after drinking and collapsed onto the chair next to her.
Chris moved closer to her and studied her mood carefully, as if trying to see through her.
After standing there for about five minutes without getting any attention from her, he moved even closer and tried to hold her hand.
But Lena suddenly opened her eyes, which scared the little boy, who immediately retreated and moved away from her.
"What is it?" she asked with a frown, but quickly changed her expression. She still felt shaken by the ugly nightmare she had on the plane earlier and wondered how long it had been.
Seeing Chris, the result of that nightmare made her feel even more horrified.
"I… I… I…" he tried to say something but was unable to.
"If you don't have anything to say, then go to your room and sleep. I am tired and I don't want any disturbance whatsoever," she said coldly and stood up to go to her room when she heard a beep from the door.
"Who could that be? Hey, is Courtney still around?" she asked, facing Chris, but he gave her a blank stare.
"Ah, forget it," she said and gently pushed him out of the way.
"What do you think you are doing?" Courtney snapped at Lena immediately she entered the room.
"I have told you many times to stop taking out your aggression on him."
"I wasn't! Why do you always assume that?" Lena said, facing her best friend.
"Because you have always given me reasons to think that way," Courtney responded.
"Whatever. Why are you still here? I thought you had a date."
"Yes, I did, but he canceled at the last minute, so I decided to stay and watch over Chris till you came back," she answered.
Lena purse her lips, knowing how much Courtney had prepared for the date.
"I'm sure you will find the right person at the right time."
Courtney sighed. She doesn't believe those words anymore.
She has tried so hard to find a man who loves her and settle down all to no avail.
"Or you could become like me. Become a spinster."
Courtney rolled her eyes.
Lena sat down, hoping to convince her again but she stopped her.
"Shh, he is sleeping," Courtney said and went over to Chris, who was sleeping on the chair near them.
"I will do it." Lena said, lifting him up from the chair.
" I will leave then." Courtney said.
"Remember to lock my door," she added, carrying Chris into his room.
Courtney paused as she recalled something,
"Your mom and sister called."
Then she picked up her bag and left.
She flagged down a taxi just outside and told the driver her address.
She thought about Lena's word as the driver took off and closed her eyes.
Lena becoming a spinster is by choice and different from her own situation.
After all, Lena has guys falling at her feet all day.
Even the president will be willing to divorce his wife and get married to Lena if she wishes.
But her own case is different.
Ever since high school, she had only dated one guy, and that was because she snatched him from Lena.

Courtney opened her eyes and stared at the lights on the street, dismissing the unpleasant thoughts.
