A child could be seen scampering through the looming pines. Wheezes consuming a frail frame.
"Just a little further," she pleaded, but her limbs began to shake.
The sound of scurrying bodies fell to her ears.
She tripped.
'Growl'
Her eyes froze.
"No," she grunted, trying to get back up.
Yet her body crumpled and began to spasm.
'Swoosh'
A sharp burn assaulted her, making her writhe and curl.
"No…no...no," she chanted, as her senses blurred.
As she was drug away.
"No…," she whimpered and reached out.
Her hands clawed at the ground, fingers becoming raw. When suddenly something caught on her hands!
'Snap'
Only to be ripped away, yet there was still hope.
As something heavy was present in her hand. The pain faded; a rush filled her veins. She smashed the rock above.
'Squish'
'Yip!'
A large weight crushed her.

She pushed at the weight, becoming free and stood. Then she ran, going faster, faster, faster. Soon it became unbearable. Ever so slowly the burn returned, and as it grew, it ate at the edges of her vision.
'Drip'
The branches whipped her limbs.

Her body screamed.

The moon was bright, and the sky clear.
'Growl'
She started.
'Growl'
She ground to a halt.
'Growl'
She whipped her head to the side.
'Growl'
She wheeled around. Tens of eyes fixed on her every move.
"No," she cried.
'Swoosh'
A shadow covered her view of the moon.
'BOOM!'
The ground collapsed, bits of earth mixed with the living and a cloud of dust rose to the sky. As the wind blew it away, only a large hole in the ground could be found.
