The bell rang at exactly 7.45am sharp abd unforgiving,slicing through the noisy morning air.for the ss3 students of dy lucy college,that sound no longer meant just the start of another school day it meant countdown. Every ring reminded them that WAEC was closer than yesterday.
I adjusted my tie as I walked into the classroom,the familiar scent of chalk dust and worn wooden desks greeting me like an old friend. Our classroom looked the same ,yet everything felt different. The jokes were fewer, the laughter softer. Even the walls seemed to know this was our final year.
