ADRIAN'S POV
The first grey light of the approaching dawn bled into the secure suite, tracing the harsh angles of the room and casting long, skeletal shadows. I woke slowly, my body a landscape of comfortable exhaustion, the weight of Nate Cole lying sprawled across my chest a profound, heavy pleasure.
He was still deeply asleep, his breathing even and soft against my collarbone, his face relaxed and utterly defenceless, a sharp contrast to the rigid, wired Captain who had walked into my cell hours ago. His arm was thrown over my torso, and his legs were tangled completely with mine, an unconscious entanglement that spoke volumes of his surrender. The scent of sweat, sex, and dark, consuming obsession filled the air.
