Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 02: Drunk

ARIANA'S POV:

I woke up wearing a nightgown on an empty bed, my head still aching like someone had hit it with a hammer.

Remembering last night, I got drunk after the marriage, telling myself it would be a new life resolution.

I also realized I was wearing a nightgown, which I don't even remember putting on because I was too drunk to process anything.

Trying so hard to remember what I did last night, on my wedding night.

Did I tell him something? Is that why he's gone this morning?

Remembering last night…

He took me to the bedroom. He loosened his tie and got on top of me, weighing me down on the bed. I was laughing drunkenly. He stroked a strand of hair away from my face, kissed my eyes and cheeks, and then his eyes flickered to my lips, then my eyes, then my lips again.

He leaned closer and caught my lips in a passionate, dominating kiss. Then his lips moved to my neck, then to my collarbone. He sucked on it, and I moaned softly. He moved to my breasts, and my moans grew louder as he sucked on them.

Then suddenly, he entered me and started moving, kissing my body. I wrapped my hands around his back, scratching as he moved. After a while, after finishing inside me, he went lower, kissing and sucking below stomach.

So… did he change my clothes? But where is he?

Did he also leave after getting what he wanted?

Anxiety and panic started rising inside me. I went to the restroom, took a shower, freshened up, and got dressed quickly. Then I went outside the room and searched the whole place, he wasn't anywhere.

My mind went blank. I didn't know what to do or where to find him. My head ached even more as the bad memories started playing:

"Nobody wants you."

"If someone wants you, it's only because of your body. You're useless otherwise."

"Why would someone want to be with you if it isn't lust?"

"You're made for lust, not love."

Ahhhh!!

My head hurt so badly, and I could barely breathe. I ran outside to the garden to get some fresh air.

As I stepped outside, I froze, my eyes widened in shock.

I saw him sitting in front of me at the breakfast table, smiling gently when he saw me.

I controlled myself and took a deep breath.

Everything's okay. Everything's fine...

I walked toward him.

He spoke up.

"You're awake. Let's have some breakfast now. I was waiting for you, but I didn't want to disturb your sleep. You must be really tired from last night…"

Where were you this morning?

I interrupted him.

"I thought I'd wake up early and set this whole table for you… and then we could have breakfast together…"

"Don't go… without telling me ever again…"

I interrupted him again, not because I wanted to, but because I was terrified a few moments ago, and he was here, calm and composed, setting up breakfast.

I looked at him, waiting for him to get mad or show frustration. Even though I deserved it, I knew I hadn't said it in the right tone. He's a complete stranger, he doesn't know anything about my life or my experiences. He could've taken it as overreacting or as a typical wife on the first day.

After a moment of silence, he smiled gently and said:

"Okay… I'll make sure to tell you before I go somewhere."

"Now let's have breakfast. Come and sit."
