Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Change in me

From that day my perspective about life changed. I used to go to school, but my mind was on money—how to earn it and from where to earn it—and all I know is I was too young to know things, but I used to learn from books in the library. When my classmates used to read comics and storybooks, I was reading books related to finance. I learned early that I was the one who could break the poverty line.

I don't just want to be rich again like my father. I want to be powerful enough that no one can ever take it away; I want to be untouchable.

When I see at home how my mom is struggling and my father is totally depressed and has no motivation to work, my mind just says, "Earn the money anyhow, but you have to earn and return the life they deserved and build it."

In the school everyone made fun of me, as I was fat and poor—a total loser. No one wanted to be friends with me. I was bullied but never compliant to anyone. I was sad, but I knew the goal of my life. But the problem was I am impatient; I want things really quick. So, until it was a sunny day, there were police all around the school area because police got intel about a drug dealer having a deal in the area. The school got over it; all the children were coming out. I was also thinking about how there would be conditions in the home. Then suddenly a man pulled me aside and gave me a bag and told me to hide it in my bag. There was a lot of crowd, so no one could see us. I was shocked. Who is he? Why is he giving me the bag? What's inside the bag? And the moment I was thinking, police gathered and said, "There's a drug dealer here, so be careful." Then I understood who the man was.

He was sweating and, in a broken voice, said that if you keep the back safe, "I will give half the profit from the deal." It was shocking for me, but the money would help my family. We won't have to ask for money for a while and can buy clothes for my mom and dad; they have not bought any in 2 years. My mind was just thinking of the money. I said yes

A bag full of drugs was in my bag. I was not afraid or anything; I was looking usual, with no stress in my face, talking with mates. Imates. I don't know where he vanished. Vanished. I was thinking, "How? "How will he take the bag from me? " Suddenly I—" Suddenly I saw a similar man in my bus. I realized. I realized he was the one when the driver asked him, "Who are you?" "What are you doing here?" he answered. "I am a relative of that boy." "I was shocked, and my mind got a blanketing blanket drive shown towards me. It's towards me. I nodded my head. My stop came while I was just thinking if police caught him, I would also be caught; there would be another problem in my life.

He dragged me to the corner and asked for the bag. I was like, "First, the money you promised." He put his hand in the pocket of his long jacket. I don't know how he was even wearing that; the weather was so hot I was sweating. He didn't even have a slight problem with the sun. He pulled a stack of cash from his coat and told me to immediately put it in my pocket. I knew it was not half but couldn't argue. I was only an 8th-grade child who gave him his bag. In a while cars flooded in the streets; there were approximately 10 cars and SUVs, and more than 30 people came out of the cars. Everyone had fully automatic guns; they looked like gangsters. I thought they were rivals and a fight was going to start, but one of them came close and said, "Boss, the client is waiting in the car." The man said, "You received the money; forget everything that happened and go to your home."

I was happy it was my first earning, but the problem was how I would explain this to my parents, from whom I received the money. Then an idea came to my mind to not tell immediately. Decided to slowly spend the money, but the main problem was where to hide the stack of money. I have not yet counted the bills; I kept them in my school bag. I know no one is going to check there, but I took a few bills and went to the market. I really wanted a new shoe but couldn't buy it and returned empty-handed, as I didn't want to waste the money. In my mind, the image of my parents came, so I thought to tell them I found the money on the road. I was happy as an eight-year-old; it was a master plan, but not for them. They didn't believe me; they only continuously asked me questions: "Where did you find it?" "In which area?" "Has anyone crossed the area? "Are you sure that it's not stolen? "I was in a sweat; my mind stopped working. In my mind, I thought that I would say I found them, and they would agree and keep the money, but here I am being interrogated.

I don't know why Father said, "Let me check his school bag. "I was shocked. Does he know what I have done? How does he know? Has he seen me with the dealer, or is it just a normal check? He picked up my bag; it was on the side of a sofa, and he just put all the items out. Suddenly a cash bundle fell. At first they thought it would be play currency but later realized it was real cash.
