Several minutes passed in the black SUV, and Flint finally awoke from his dream. He squinted and rubbed his eyes as he looked around. Seeing his SUV parked in the apartment parking lot, he immediately unbuckled his seatbelt and looked at his friend, who was still sitting in the driver's seat.
"By the way, why didn't you wake me up? How long have I been asleep?"
Ellen laughed awkwardly as she glanced at the watch on her left wrist. "About half an hour."
Flint's eyes widened. "Was I really asleep that long?"
"I know you're really tired today. That's why I didn't dare wake you up until you woke up on your own."
A mischievous smile spread across his handsome face. "And I was going to give you an extra assignment just now."
"What kind of tasks?"
"I want to ask you to wash my car."
"What?"
Flint furrowed his brows. "Why? Did you just refuse your boss's orders?"
"But, it's already late. Besides, you've been looking tired all this time."
