Chapter 62: Magical Titan
"I clearly saw the magic cluster cannon being launched, but why did it suddenly disappear? Am I seeing things? Maybe it hasn't been fired yet?"
"No! It was launched, but then it just vanished!"
"I think I saw a dark void, and the magic cluster cannon got swallowed up!"
"It's space! Dino shattered space itself!"
"Space is shattered! No way!"
After Dino used this move, sweat beaded on his forehead—the energy consumption was massive. He'd developed this technique out of pure curiosity. Every time he used the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power, he could crack space itself.
The cracks allowed him to strike through spatial fractures. The number, size, and pattern of the shattered space required precise control.
Back then, Dino figured that since he could already crack space, why not go further? All he needed was more concentrated power and stronger vibrations.
And he succeeded. When space shattered completely, it created a terrifying suction force that pulled everything nearby into the void until space repaired itself.
The effect lasted less than a second, which made it seem like an illusion.
"Damn brat!"
Dino said coldly, "Jose, I didn't use my hands or feet. I hope you'll honor our agreement."
"Hmph! How many times can you pull off a stunt like that? Full power!" Jose shouted. He was actually quite confident in the Magic Cluster Cannon 'Jupiter' and didn't really care about the hands and feet restriction.
He'd only said that to keep Dino from dodging and to prevent him from counterattacking the guild headquarters.
Jose had assumed a direct hit from Jupiter would kill anyone, no matter how powerful. He never expected this brat to not only stand his ground without using hands or feet, but to neutralize the attack in such an absurd way.
But it didn't matter. No one was invincible. The only reason the kid survived was insufficient destructive power. With more firepower, what could he possibly do?
"Full power! Magical Titan mode activated!"
"RUMBLE!" The entire Ghost Guild began transforming.
Lucy's eyes widened. "What's happening now?"
"Is that thing changing again?"
Cana's face paled. "Damn it! What are the Ghost bastards planning now?"
Loki adjusted his glasses nervously. "Whatever it is, it can't be good!"
The moment the Ghost Guild headquarters started moving, Natsu and Gajeel simultaneously clutched their stomachs.
"Ugh… gonna hurl…" they groaned in unison.
The two locked eyes, and a flicker of mutual understanding passed between them—the bond of fellow motion sickness sufferers.
When the transformation completed, every Fairy Tail member stood frozen in shock.
"What… what the hell is that?! You've gotta be kidding me!"
"A giant… are you serious?!"
"How are we supposed to fight THAT?!"
Dino's jaw dropped. "A mecha! It's an actual giant mecha!"
Jose's arrogant voice boomed across the battlefield. "Hahahaha! Behold! This is my Super Magical Titan—Ghost MK-II!"
Dino whistled. "I gotta say, Jose, your fashion sense and personality are both absolute garbage, but your taste in giant robots? Pretty damn good."
Lucy threw her hands up. "How can you be complimenting him at a time like this?!"
"Heh! You haven't seen anything yet!"
The Super Magical Titan Ghost MK-II raised its right hand and began drawing patterns in the air, glowing symbols and magic circles materializing before them.
"What… what is that?"
"Are those words?"
Cana's face went white. "That's a magic circle! The giant itself is casting magic!"
"WHAT?!"
Lucy, well-versed in magical knowledge, gasped in recognition. "That magic circle is… Purgatory Shatter—a forbidden spell!"
"With a circle that massive and those dark fluctuations… it could level everything around Kardia Cathedral!"
"We have to stop it now!"
Dino clenched his fists, then slowly released them. Not yet. The timing wasn't right.
Inside the Magical Titan
"The shaking stopped?" Elfman steadied himself.
Sol, one of the Element 4 specializing in earth magic, twisted his body dramatically. "Oui~! This means Fairy Tail's end has arrived! Now then, shall we continue our little chat?"
"Disgusting creep! Who wants to talk to YOU?!" Elfman's fist crashed into Sol.
"BAM!" Sol's body suddenly sank into the floor. "You failed at full-body Takeover once and ran away…"
"SHUT UP!"
"BOOM!" Elfman's fist slammed into the ground again.
Sol emerged from a different spot, still smirking. "Your sister lost her life trying to stop you, didn't she?"
"SHUT UP!"
"CRASH!"
"Ever since then, you haven't been able to use full-body Takeover. You have a fatal weakness!" Sol shot out of the ground, his foot connecting with Elfman's gut, then followed with a rapid series of kicks.
"GAH!" Elfman flew backward, crashing through a wall.
"Non, non, non! You're so weak!"
Elfman's voice dropped to a dangerous tone. "Does it make you happy? Playing with people's hearts? Rubbing salt in their wounds?"
"Of course it's fun! It's my favorite pastime!"
"Then let me tell you MY favorite thing to do."
"Oh? Do tell! I don't have any intel on this. What could it be?"
"Beating the crap out of trash like you! FULL-BODY TAKEOVER: BEAST SOUL!" Elfman roared, his body exploding with magical energy as he transformed into his Beast King form.
Sol's eyes went wide with genuine shock. "Impossible! You can't use full-body Takeover magic! Aren't you afraid of losing control and going berserk again?!"
Elfman, now fully transformed, cracked his massive knuckles. "Berserk? Yeah, I've gone berserk before. More than once or twice, actually. But you know what? There's a guy in our guild who can knock me flat on my ass even when I'm completely out of control."
"I usually avoid transforming like this around my sister—I don't want her to see me this way and worry. But today? I'm making an exception just to deal with disgusting scum like you. You should feel honored!"
Sol's voice trembled slightly. "This person… it's Dino Maxim, isn't it?"
"Bingo!"
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
