Chapter 27 - That Wednesday

My demon speaks to me until I vanquish my enemies.

My demon speaks to me until I destroy my loved ones.

My demon speaks to me until I fall asleep and never wake up.

But I think there's something pulling me

Towards a distant light.

You might think I'm crazy for writing this, but I feel insane now.

From what I remember of Wednesday

A garden and blood.

Me, them, and more blood.

How do I begin to explain what happened?

My first memory is a phone call to Michael at breakfast.

After a lovely night of talking between Michael, me, and his girlfriend.

They'd been dating for over a year.

And my relationship with her was close because she visited Michael and me often.

I often told him to go home and leave me alone, but he refused.

Anyway, in the morning we were eating when Michael received a call.

He excused himself and went to a room to finish the call.

Then he came out and told me to get ready for work; there was a problem.

His girlfriend looked Worried

"Is it a big deal?" I asked.

"No, the miscalculation made the purchase difficult."

He kissed her, I greeted her, and Michael and I left.

"What's wrong?"

"There's a problem."

"What is it? At work or at the other job?"

"At the other job. There were some missteps, but I'll sort it out."

"Then why are you in such a hurry?"

"It's her birthday."

"Whose?"

"Her."

Oh, damn! I forgot people celebrate these things.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"I got a notification on my phone."

"Am I buying a present too?"

"Of course."

"Why?"

"She doesn't know many people."

"Damn... fine."

"I'll go to work, and you go get the presents for both of us."

"Your bank card."

"Why?" ...You're rich too.

"She's your girlfriend."

"Damn you."

I went to the company and completed all the tasks.

Then I went to the jewelry store.

I called Michael and asked him if he wanted to propose to her today and surprise her.

He said, "Fuck U."

I asked him if he'd finished his work.

He told me things were settled.

Then book a restaurant and invite her. I'll bring the gifts there.

After hanging up, I spent half an hour trying to choose two suitable gifts until I saw a beautiful necklace with a blue heart.

I took them and texted him that I'd done it.

Then I texted him about the restaurant.

Oh, a fancy restaurant.

Did you order a birthday cake and decorations?

No.

Order them, you idiot.

How much longer until she arrives?

An hour.

Finish everything and I'm on my way.

I closed the messages and turned off my phone.

And looked at the clock.

And I went to the flower shop and asked if they had flowers for wishing someone a long life.

I took the bouquet and left.

I went to the restaurant, and after I got out of the car park,

I saw a lot of people heading towards me.

Damn it, today isn't a good day.

Damn it, my phone's dead.

Damn it, it's that little girl's birthday.

What do I do?

They've closed the place. I can't leave by car.

I have to get everyone away from there.

So they don't get to that little girl and Michael.

I ran away from the restaurant after grabbing my golf club.

Damn it.
