Chapter 9 - First Night

The killer in my house is taking a shower.

He finished and came out. I saw him, and he looked at me and said, "Do you have a problem?"

"No, you're just clean."

"Damn you! You've always been clean."

"Do you want to eat?"

He opened the refrigerator.

"There's ice cream."

"Oh, you want to feed me ice cream for dinner?"

"Yes. Do you have a problem? I told you to bring dinner."

"Really? There's nothing but ice cream?"

Then I felt movement outside the house.

But the person who was driving was with me.

He opened the door, and the dwarf came in.

"Damn you, Michael!"

"I'm going to change the lock," I told him. "I gave you the code, and don't tell anyone."

"Anyone, okay?"

"Chief."

"Say it in front of him."

"Yes... a full description of the person you're looking for has been circulated."

"And then?"

"No one knows where he is."

"Search everywhere."

"Yes, sir." Shall I get you dinner?

No, you can leave.

The dwarf left with a murderous glare.

"Who are you looking for?" I asked.

Don't ask. It's a surprise.

Why am I involved from the start?

Do you think it started when we met?

Didn't it?

Goodnight. He left.

"Didn't it?" I yelled.

Go to sleep, you bastard.

I saw him walk past, his back covered in scratches.

And he closed my door.

Damn him, he really thinks he's in his own home.

I remembered something and knocked.

Hey, do you know where my phone is? I bought a new one, but I want the old one.

Hey, hey, hey!

I gave in and went to the couch.

Suddenly, he opened the door and threw the phone in my face.

Damn you! Why did you even take it?

For no reason! Then he closed the door.

I checked the phone, unlocked it, and examined it closely. I didn't see anything suspicious.

I went to sleep after putting a knife under my pillow.

In the morning, I woke up on the sofa and remembered who had been living with me.

Oh God, was it right to let him live with me?

I got up and knocked on the door, but no one answered.

I opened the door and found the bed made with a note that said "I'm going to work" and his phone number. He told me to call him.

Was he threatening me or telling me something?

I didn't know whether to call now or wait.

He called and answered. I asked him what he wanted for lunch.

He asked me why.

I said I was going to visit him for lunch.

Yeah, my damn plan to understand his world so I can protect mine.

He said: **** Telecommunications Company.

Wow, a huge company. Well, he wanted to call me at 2:00 PM.

And for the first time, I hung up on him.

I looked for a restaurant near his company.

Then I searched the search results to find out what had happened and what the police knew.

But nothing, just names.

And that the heir came to the company and showed no concern whatsoever for his mother's health.

And comments about how evil Michael was.

Even though he cried, damn them. I saw a picture of Michael crying.

And it was obvious he was acting, but no one would know.

Because I was the only one who had ever seen him cry for real.

I gathered all my strength.

Yes, Michael, that cheerful boy, the talented writer, had become a murderer and the head of a telecommunications company.

It was 2:00 PM and Michael still hadn't arrived.

Oh my God, it was 4:00 PM and he walked in.

Oh, you have a strong will.

Is that why I waited?

Yes.

Now I'll order this and that, and you'll pay.

Okay.

Wow, what's your job?

I'm the boss.

Are you hiring?

Yes, and you'll be working as my assistant starting tomorrow.

Huh?
