As Alex saw the number of ruins he became increasingly intrigued. As then started focusing on it to pull up the ruins.
Then the illusory screen flickered and changed, displaying his list of ruins.
[Lost Katana, Crystalized Banana, Monkey Claw, Mutated Monkey Crystal, Mutated Fly Crystal]
Alex had noticed that most of them were monkey related. Except he also noticed that there were nine ruins, instead there were five.
Alex was extremely confused by this, yet the only way he'd find out is by checking them.
So Alex decided to check the first one.
As he began concentrating on the Crystalized banana. Another screen then popped up by its side.
Just like last time, as for some reason the screen decided to duplicate when he focused on his ruins.
He then suddenly had a brilliant idea.
If I am able to add another screen, then I should summon all of these ruins up.
As Alex then started concentrating on the rest of the ruin. As more and more separate screens popped up beside the original one.
Alex still decided to focus on the Crystalized banana first. As he started reading through its details.

As Alex read through he was shocked by what he saw. Surprised that it had an ability and it seemed extremely useful.
As he thought that it'd be possible to create an infinite food source. While he was also intrigued by the origin of the blade, as the blizzard seemed to be extraordinarily mysterious and powerful.
Although he would still need to test his theory out, before he'd do that he wanted to go through the rest of the ruins.
As Alex changed his gaze, focusing on the panel that contained the information on the monkey claws.

Ruin origin: The claws of a monkey whose claws were strengthened.

This was a relatively good weapon, as in their environment it could serve extremely usefully. While Alex did wonder what the class meant.
While he still had two ruins left to check out, he started to look at the mutated monkey Crystal.

Ruin Abilities: Increase the power of a ruin inside the monkey class, or talents in the monkey class.
Ruin origin: Produced from the bodies of the mutated monkeys.

Alex's questions were almost completely answered. As the information that this one ruin gave was incredible.
As it first directly told Alex what the classes were for. As now Alex knew that they were used to match a crystal and ruin.
While it had also indirectly told him what talents were. As he knew that talents were relative to him, as they were in his main status window.
While crystals were used to upgrade a ruin the talents must be a human 'ruin'. Or put in simpler terms talents must be human powers that can get upgraded by crystals.
Yet Alex still didn't know how he would get a talent. He didn't even know most of what his status window even meant.
Yet Alex was itching to try and upgrade his ruin, curiosity overtaking him. Except he still had one ruin left.
Except Alex decided to ignore it, as it was most likely the same as the monkey Crystal. So Alex started to find the Crystal, claw, and banana within himself.
Then he summoned each of the unfamiliar ruins. As wind once again corralled around Alex before turning into three different objects.
His first test was going to be the Crystalized Banana. Wanting to see if he really could use it for an infinite food source.
As he grabbed the hilt, which resembled a banana peel. Before looking at the blade which looked to be made of tiny thin slices of banana frozen into a solid shape.
It was a silly design, yet Alex brought fist straight to the blade, punching it as hard as he could. What he did not expect was that the blade would shatter immediately with little resistance.
If Alex really wanted to he could've just snapped the blade with his fingers. Then the frozen blade clanked against the ground to the plane.
Suddenly the blade started regrowing, as it built itself back up into its original shape. It was although the blade had never been broken.
This was incredible to Alex, yet he punched it again, this time lighter than before. As the blade broke off and fell to the floor nothing happened.
The blade did not grow back, greatly confusing Alex. As once Alex had confirmed its claims he was shocked when it didn't work.
Except he still believed it'd grow back, so Alex placed it in a close seat and grabbed the monkey claw and the mutated monkey crystal.
Finally it was time, Alex had been waiting for these two ruins to be in his hands. He wanted to see how to upgrade the monkey claw.
His first idea was to slam the two together, except he was weary and didn't want to break them. So Alex gently pressed them together.
As soon as the two ruins collided a brilliant light shone from the monkey claw. As Alex had to cover his eyes from the intense light.
Then the light slowly started to dwindle away, until it was completely gone. Now the monkey claw was the only thing left in Alex's hand.
As it seemed the crystal had somehow merged with the monkey claw. Yet Alex didn't know if it had actually done anything.
So Alex looked back at the ruin panel for the monkey claw. Except this time he saw another line.

There was now a level system for Alex's ruins! This pleased Alex very much, as now he could make any ruin as strong as he wanted. Except he didn't know if there was a cap.
While there was also another problem, even if he could upgrade the ruin infinitely, he did not have the resources.
Then Alex suddenly realized something genius, as he started forming a plan. Not any simple plane but one that could manipulate the entire group of survivors without them knowing.
Alex was going to introduce a form of currency, merit points. People would gain these points by hunting and collecting food, and selling ruins.
These points could be exchanged for ruins.
This would allow Alex to install a system that would almost force everyone to start hunting and gathering food. This is because the frenzy to get better ruins would force people to hunt, therefore producing more ruins.
Eventually merit points would turn into a full on currency. This would cause others to use merit points to buy more than just ruins.
This would eventually lead to a capitalistic system. All Alex had to do was give himself enough merit points and he would be able to get unlimited ruins.
Yet this wasn't guaranteed so he needed a way to be able to permanently steal a ruin from someone.
This was because if Alex could forcefully and permanently steal a ruin, he could make it all but guaranteed in his system that he would become the richest.
The downside to this system is that it would almost force people to go mad. As if robbery and fraud started people would go into a frenzy.
So Alex was going to have to be extra careful with his system to make sure nothing bad would happen.
For this plan Alex wanted to first know if he was able to steal ruins. To test this he was going to have to brainstorm any ideas of transferring items in novels, and try to transfer forcefully.
For Alex's plan to work without him getting caught he was going to wait until everyone was asleep. Then he was going to test his theory on the closest person.
To stay up without drawing attention to himself he was going to blame it on a night shift. According to him he was just making sure no monster entered the plane while they were sleeping.
Except his plans were much more sinister.

Alex had waited for night to come, and waited until he didn't hear any sounds. Then he slowly got up, as he tried to move around without making sounds.
Then Alex started tip toeing to the nearest person to him. It was a man, about twice the age of Alex.
Alex did not care who it was, as he carefully put his hand on the man's foot. As he did this a sudden feeling overwhelmed him.
He had to sneeze! If he really sneezed he might get caught. His whole plane would be ruined by a sneeze.
Shit, I can't get caught like this.
Luckily for Alex the sneeze never came, instead it was like a phantom feeling. Alex started to put his hand back on the man.
Once he had he dove into deep concentration, and instead of focusing inside himself, he was focusing deep within the man.
He kept searching and searching for something that wasn't supposed to be there, until he had found it.
He had found a ruin inside of the man. Now he tried to grasp onto it. Except it was much harder to concentrate on something from someone else's body.
It took all of Alex's focus, and also took him great time. Yet eventually Alex was able to pull the ruin out of the man's body.
Then right before the ruin summoned he shoved that feeling into himself as he forcefully transferred the man's ruin.
A huge smile appeared on Alex's face, as he lifted his hand off the man and started to turn around.
While turning around he noticed a figure in the dark. The more he turned around, he became more overwhelmed with fear.
A young girl was sitting right behind him, as she watched Alex like a hawk.
Alex had been caught.
