Chapter 46 - The End of Avengers: Endgame. (fix)

A/N : I'm a little tired of creating fight scenes, so I apologize if the story seems to end quickly here. Anyway, in the movie, their fight ends quickly after Tony snaps his fingers.

........

Time passed. And slowly—

The tide of battle began to turn.

Thanos and his army were no longer advancing.

Even so, his forces did not know fear. They kept charging forward without hesitation, as if the word retreat had never existed in their vocabulary.

Still—

They were being pushed back.

Between the combined might of the Avengers and their allies, the battlefield had turned into complete chaos for the Mad Titan's side.

Elsewhere—

Clint sprinted across the shattered ground, the Nano Gauntlet clenched tightly in his hand. Behind him, a massive alien beast roared as it chased him, crushing debris beneath its claws.

"Guys, I need some help here!" Clint shouted through the comms.

Crack.

Allen Apparated beside him mid-run.

Without slowing down, Allen turned, raised his wand, and fired.

"Avada Kedavra."

A flash of green light cut through the smoke and struck the creature directly in the chest.

The monster collapsed instantly, dead before its body even touched the ground.

Clint glanced back just long enough to confirm the thing was really dead.

"Thanks!" he shouted.

But the relief didn't last long.

A towering shadow loomed above them—

Thanos dropped from the sky, landing hard enough to crack the ground between them.

Allen immediately stepped forward.

"Go. I'll hold him," Allen said.

Clint hesitated for half a second—then nodded and ran.

Thanos' gaze locked onto Allen.

"You again," Thanos growled.

"Stop standing in my way."

He charged.

Allen fired immediately.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Green flashes fired repeatedly toward the Titan.

"Seriously—why won't you just die already?!" Allen muttered while throwing several spells in rapid succession.

But Thanos adapted quickly.

He ripped a chunk of concrete from the ground and used it as a shield against the curse. Then he hurled a massive slab of stone straight at Allen.

Allen reacted instantly.

With a sharp flick of his wand, the flying rock transformed midair—

Into a giant eagle.

The creature screeched and flew away into the smoke-filled sky.

But Thanos used the distraction.

He closed the distance and swung his blade in a brutal strike meant to cut Allen in half.

Crack.

Allen vanished, reappearing several meters behind him.

He let out a short breath.

"Man… I swear it feels like I accidentally jumped into the DC Universe," Allen muttered.

"This version of you is way more brutal than the one in Infinity War."

Before Thanos could attack again—

A flash of red tore through the smoke-filled sky.

Wanda landed between them.

Allen immediately reacted, Apparating beside her with his wand already raised.

"Perfect timing. I could use some help here," Allen said.

Wanda glanced at him briefly.

It was obvious she had never seen this man before.

Her eyes burned with emotion.

"No," she said quietly.

"I want to do this alone."

"What do you mean you want to do this alone? Are you planning to fight him by yourself?" Allen said while studying her expression.

He was about to say she shouldn't face Thanos alone.

But Wanda didn't seem to hear him at all.

Forget it, Allen thought.

There was no point arguing with someone in that state.

He gave a small nod.

"Fine. Your choice. I'll make sure his army doesn't interfere."

Crack.

He Apparated some distance away and immediately began cutting down the alien soldiers trying to approach Wanda's position.

"She's in full rage mode," he muttered while firing another spell.

"Best not get in the way."

When a woman looks that angry?

Yeah.

The smartest move is to step aside.

Now alone—

Wanda faced Thanos completely.

Her eyes glowed red.

Energy pulsed around her like a living storm barely under control.

"You…" Wanda said, her voice trembling—not from fear, but from rage.

"You took everything from me."

Thanos looked at her with cold indifference.

"Woman," he replied flatly,

"I don't even know who you are."

"You will," she said coldly.

The sounds of battle around them seemed to fade.

And at that moment—

Thanos moved first.

He swung his blade without hesitation.

But the strike missed as Wanda dodged.

Red energy exploded outward.

Thanos fought Wanda evenly, but the injuries he had taken earlier while fighting Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Allen were slowing him down.

Wanda used that opportunity.

She caught his massive double-bladed sword with telekinesis—

And crushed it with her magic.

The impact forced Thanos to release his grip on the weapon.

But he immediately moved again, throwing a punch straight toward the witch's face.

Before he could react—

His body lifted off the ground.

An invisible pressure crushed around him.

Wanda slowly raised her hand.

And the Titan rose higher into the air.

He struggled, muscles tightening as he fought against the force.

But this wasn't just telekinesis.

This was compression.

His armor groaned.

Metal bent inward.

Cracks spread across his chest plate.

Little by little, pieces of his armor were ripped away, torn from his body by the merciless invisible force.

Thanos grimaced, veins bulging as he tried to break free.

Wanda's eyes burned brighter.

"Ahhhh!" Thanos roared.

Smoke rose from his cracking armor as his massive body floated above the rubble, slowly being crushed by Wanda's power.

But Thanos didn't give up.

He looked toward the warship hovering above the battlefield.

"Rain fire," he ordered coldly.

Not far from the fight, a squid-faced commander—currently being held off by Allen—heard the order.

But he hesitated.

"My lord… our troops are still down there," he said while dodging Allen's spells.

Thanos didn't even look at him.

"I said—fire."

There was no anger in his voice.

No hesitation.

To Thanos, his army was nothing more than tools.

If they broke, they broke.

Only the final result mattered.

Seconds later—

The sky lit up.

The warship's massive cannons glowed white-hot as they charged with destructive energy.

Then the bombardment began.

Explosions swept across the battlefield indiscriminately.

The ground shattered.

Shockwaves flattened everything in their path—friend and foe alike.

Outriders vaporized alongside Wakandan soldiers.

Chitauri were thrown into the air together with sorcerers desperately trying to hold their shields.

In the sky, Wanda faltered for half a second when an explosion detonated nearby.

That was all Thanos needed.

Allen saw the fleet firing and immediately looked toward Wanda.

"Told you so," he muttered.

He vanished in a flash and appeared beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist and teleporting away just as another explosion swallowed the spot where they had been.

Even Thanos didn't escape the bombardment.

One explosion struck him directly, sending his massive body flying across the battlefield.

He slammed into the ground hard enough to form a crater—

Then slowly stood again.

Around them—

Total chaos.

The warship roared above.

Buildings collapsed.

Fire and smoke swallowed the horizon.

Allen reappeared amid the destruction, raising a magical shield around Wanda as another explosion struck the ground just meters away.

"Are you okay?" he asked calmly.

Wanda looked at him—realizing she was being held tightly and completely protected by someone she had just met.

"I-I'm okay," she said softly.

"Thank you."

For a moment—

It felt very familiar.

The way he stood between her and destruction.

The way he protected her without hesitation.

Vision used to do the same.

Lightning suddenly tore through the sky.

Thor hurled Stormbreaker upward, summoning a massive thunderstorm in retaliation.

Bolts of lightning struck the falling artillery and detonated several shots midair.

"Is that all you've got?!" Thor roared.

Above them, Tony Stark shot into the sky, his nanotech armor shifting as targeting systems locked onto the ship's cannons.

"I'm working on it!" Tony replied through comms.

"That ugly squid ship keeps adapting!"

But the bombardment didn't stop.

Thanos had made one thing clear—

If he couldn't win cleanly—

He would burn the entire battlefield to ash.

Several incoming blasts suddenly veered toward Raviel and Mikaela, who were flying while slaughtering alien troops.

"Raviel, do something!" Mikaela shouted in panic.

Raviel clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"They're ruining the mood," she muttered.

Casually, she reached into her inventory—

And Excalibur appeared in her hand.

"Relax, sis. I've got this."

She raised the sword high.

A pillar of golden light exploded upward—rising nearly two miles into the sky, splitting the smoke clouds apart.

Everyone froze.

Then Raviel swung.

Once.

A golden arc of light split through the air—

And the warship exploded.

The massive vessel shattered into burning fragments, collapsing into fiery debris that rained down from the sky.

But Raviel wasn't finished.

She spun in the air and swung again—

Sending waves of golden energy crashing into the remaining forces of Thanos.

Each impact detonated like a small nuclear strike, vaporizing entire battalions in seconds.

Silence fell.

Even the battlefield seemed stunned.

Every head slowly turned toward the woman floating in the sky.

Tony landed beside Thor.

"…Okay," Tony said.

"I think the title of Strongest Avenger goes to her."

Thor swallowed.

"…She's technically not an Avenger," he muttered defensively.

Neither of them laughed.

Allen pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Next time," he said flatly,

"I'm making sure she stays home."

Wanda blinked in confusion.

"Isn't… that a good thing?" she asked.

"And—you know each other?"

Allen looked over the battlefield, which was now nothing but ruins.

"Yeah," he said casually.

"She's my wife."

Wanda froze.

"Y-your wife?"

Allen sighed.

"We were supposed to struggle a little," he muttered to himself.

"Build tension. Teamwork. Character development."

Wanda stared at him in disbelief.

"…You're upset because of your wife?" she asked.

"I'm upset she deleted the third act," Allen replied.

Wanda blinked.

She had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.

"That… doesn't even make sense."

"Makes sense in my head."

Allen actually wanted to say it was about male pride—

But of course he didn't say that out loud.

Not long after, Raviel descended from the sky and immediately jumped toward Allen as if she knew he would catch her.

And of course—

Allen caught her.

He hugged her easily as Raviel laughed softly, completely relaxed in his arms.

Meanwhile Mikaela didn't want to be left out.

She immediately hugged Allen's arm from the side.

Several soldiers from Wakanda and Xandar nearby could only stare in disbelief at what had just happened.

Their expressions practically screamed:

Were we even needed here?

And why did she only use that glowing sword now?

Not far away, Wanda watched them quietly.

For a moment—

She felt a small pang of envy.

Not because of jealousy.

But because of something else.

Vision was gone.

And no matter how strong she became…

That loss never stopped hurting.

The battlefield finally fell silent.

Then—

A rumble came from the rubble.

From beneath the ruins—

Thanos rose again.

Dust fell from his armor as he stepped forward.

His body was covered in burns.

His armor cracked.

But he was still standing.

His army was gone.

For the first time—

Thanos was truly alone.

Everyone realized it.

Thor raised Stormbreaker.

Wanda's eyes glowed red.

Tony's helmet closed again.

Allen gently set Raviel down.

The air changed.

This was no longer chaos.

This was judgment.

Thanos glared at them all.

"You think this is victory?"

No one answered.

They simply began walking toward him.

From every direction.

"Attack him! Show no mercy!" a Xandarian soldier shouted.

And that was it.

Thor struck first.

Wanda followed.

Tony fired his repulsors.

The sorcerers bound him with magic.

Wakandan soldiers charged in.

Allen joined the assault without hesitation.

This wasn't a duel.

Not an honorable fight.

This was about survival.

Thanos roared as he fought back—

Still refusing to surrender.

But he was alone.

Blow after blow struck him.

Lightning.

Red energy.

Explosions.

Magic.

Steel.

Slowly—

The Mad Titan dropped to one knee.

Then the other.

Still glaring.

Still defiant.

Until—

The final combined attack struck him.

Lightning.

Scarlet energy.

Repulsor blasts.

All of it merged into one devastating strike.

Then—

Silence.

Smoke covered the shattered ground.

And Thanos looked down at his chest.

There was a hole through it.

His body now looked like a donut.

No final speech.

No last defiant glare.

Not long after—

He fell.

His body lay motionless in the center of the battlefield.

A hole pierced straight through him.

Alone.

No army.

No throne.

No destiny.

Silence covered the battlefield.

There were no cheers.

No celebration.

Only the sound of exhausted warriors breathing in relief.

Thor slowly lowered Stormbreaker.

Wanda's eyes returned to normal.

Tony's helmet opened as he stared at the crater for a long moment.

Allen stood quietly, watching the smoke rise into a sky that was finally clearing.

It was over.

Thanos was dead.

And in the end—

He died alone.
