THE DISTANCE
After the national exams, Lisa and Henry have to go to different schools become of there different performance. Dispute these, they still communicate and Lisa reminds him to study hard so as to boost his performance. Henry promices to put his all in his studies. From then, Henry maked a significant improvement and was no longer amoungest those below expectations.
After the four years in highschool,the results are now out, Lisa is not home and so is Henry. They have both gone for a walk to escape being questioned. By evening, they both return home. Both pleased with their results for they had done there best.
As for Lisa, she had qualified to join a health collage while Henry was to join a technical collage. These did not discourage him as he knew he had qualified to undertake a course of his choice. However, his father is not as supportive as he was hopping to, luckily, his mother persuaded him otherwise.
Back in school, Lisa and Henry are still in contacts as they have always been, Henry is doing plumbing while Lisa is doing Nursing. Dispute the distance, there friendship is still growing.
Without no time, Henry was done with his studies and is now an independent man. He looks for contracts but things didn't go on as planned. Just ones and twice when he could be asked to fix broken pipes yet at times some clients would take advantage of there familiarity with him.
After a long while, he gets tired of clients taking his service for granted with no better pay. He almost gives up when he meets Paula.
The two had first met in church youth group conference where they had sat together for a whole conference . Although Henry had stopped attending, there parents are still friends and there was no way he could avoid meeting her. As normal, Paula had befriended him whom at first seemed shy but later changed his mind and accepted her as his girlfriend.
According to Lisa, it was the best option so as to keep him company and busy. As days passes on,there come to know each other more and more that Henry comes to unfold his past experiences to her, bearing in mind it was not such a good experience.
For half an year now, Henry and Paula are moving on well. He is great full that it did not stop his friendship with Lisa but made her focus more on her studies.
Mark Jameson, Henry's father, was now concerned about his son's dependency on him. He thought it was now time for him to fend and depend on himself and his future family. Amongst all his children, only one had not made it to the University. He wanted to show him that life was not as easy and should be responsible for himself and his decisions.
