Returning home, he found that no one but Laila was in the dining hall.
As he entered, the brunette glanced at him but said nothing.
Luke asked, "Where is Mom?" Before leaving, he needed to speak with his sweetheart and soothe her anxiety. This was the first time he was leaving the village, so there was no doubt she would be worried.
"She is in your room, tidying it up," Laila replied shortly while cleaning the table.
Luke nodded and decided to visit Dalia first before meeting his mother.
Just then, "Umm... Luke," Laila called out.
The dark green-haired boy raised his brows and hummed in question. "Need something?"
Laila was clearly nervous to say it. She didn't turn to look at him, and the tips of her ears were faintly red.
She glanced at him over her shoulder and said, "I... I need a bigger sum this time. Around a hundred."
Luke grinned briefly and stepped closer to her.
