It took him nearly an hour to finish planting the wires around the house. The small, elongated sticks he had been given worked perfectly as anchors, keeping the line steady and tight along the perimeter.
Now, all that remained was to drive the activation poles into the ground. Once that was done, the house would be sealed within a protective boundary.
Each pole stood about four feet tall. Unless someone deliberately searched for them, they would walk straight into the line and then… meet quite a torturous experience.
"Are you done here?" a voice asked from behind.
Luke's brows lifted as he turned to see his dear sister-in-law standing there, a pitcher of water resting in her hand.
Luke wiped the sweat from his brow and said, "Yeah. But why did you come out?"
Dalia narrowed her eyes. "I hope you didn't forget about our session."
Luke hummed softly. "I had extra work today. How about we do it tomorrow?"
