At the dining table, the family of six sat together, having dinner.
Unlike usual, when he was given nothing but hot water and bread, Luke was enjoying a generous portion of meat along with fresh bread and well seasoned soup.
He had the largest share on the table, followed by Gustav and Monica, who also took meat from his portion, just as Luke had told them to.
On the other hand, Caleb and Laila were eating what Luke once did, barely enough to survive.
Caleb swallowed hard as he watched Luke tear tender meat off the bone.
Luke ignored him. There had been times when Caleb earned a few coins and bought meat for himself, yet never once did he share it. Why should Luke do so now?
As for his parents, he naturally favored his mother, considering his feelings for her and everything she had done for him.
And his father had allowed him to stay at home and do nothing for four years. This meal was his way of repaying that kindness.
Not to mention, he was even offering his woman to Luke.
Just then, Gustav asked, "What about Dalia, Lex?" His wife was once again absent from the table.
It was strange that Luke had not seen her even once since waking up in this world.
"She is still suffering from back pain and can barely move," Lex replied, his tone mildly irritated.
Luke hummed and leaned back in his seat. "May I take a look at her condition?"
Lex scoffed. "What can you do about it? You are no medic."
"True, but I do have something that can relieve stress. A specific oil that helps relax muscles."
Lex visibly hesitated at those words. Could it be that he really had something?
Narrowing his eyes, Lex asked, "What do you want in return?"
"Thirty Toras."
Lex's eyes widened. "Are you out of your fucking mind? Why would I pay you that much when you are not even a medic?"
Luke replied calmly, "Pay me after her pain is gone. How about that?"
Lex fell silent once more, unsure where that confidence was coming from.
Just then, Monica asked, "Do you truly have a remedy, son?"
Luke smiled and nodded. "Of course I do. Have I ever lied, Mother?"
She grinned and shook her head.
Lex groaned. "Fine. After dinner, come to my room and see what you can do."
There was no sauce on his lips, yet he felt like licking them.
"Alright."
After that, the conversation flowed more smoothly.
Luke learned from his father that his uncle and aunt were out of the village.
"They were summoned by the tribe?" Lex asked in shock.
Gustav nodded. "It seems a magical beast has been sighted near the village. While the elite soldiers search for it, the other village's top warriors are being used as regular guards for the tribe."
Luke hummed and asked the system, 'I assume beasts that possess high amounts of Gamma and have developed a pod are regarded as Magical Beasts?'
[Indeed, Host. They are considered highly dangerous in this world because, with time, a magical beast develops a unique skill, which can be peculiar or an advanced version of what it had been capable of since birth. For example, an awakened bull may develop Rage Charge, while an awakened hawk could gain an ocular skill.]
Luke nodded in understanding. No wonder the tribal chief was taking the matter so seriously.
Not long after, dinner came to an end.
Everyone returned to their rooms, and just as Monica was about to leave, Luke said, "I will join you soon."
Her cheeks warmed as she lowered her head and gave a brief nod.
Laila frowned at the reaction, shot her brother a glare, and walked away as well.
Luke turned to his elder brother and asked, "So? Shall we go?"
Lex hesitated, still doubtful of the loser. In the end, he muttered under his breath, "There is no harm in trying," and silently started toward his room.
As they entered the room, Luke finally saw her.
A woman, in her early thirties, currently lying on the bed with her back facing them. Her long blue hair was spread on the sheet and the gentle movement of her shoulder signified she was sleeping.
Luke then looked down, admiring her body.
A generous roll of waist fat settles warmly against the mattress, creating a gentle curve that flows without interruption into wide, heavy hips and thick thighs. The classic hourglass has softened and widened with time: substantial hips that flare dramatically from her middle, promising the kind of cradling grip that would surely make him weak-kneed.
'A perfect big beautiful woman...gah, I am weak against them.' He was itching to touch her so he said, "I will check on her now."
He inched closer and Dalia then jolted awake, "Lex...ah? What are you doing here?" Her blue eyes narrowed at him in wariness.
Luke shrugged, "Came to check on your condition. Now, lie on your chest and let me examine you."
Dalia was taken aback, "What are you talking about? Lex?"
Her mate clicked his tongue, "Just let him do whatever he believes could help."
Luke didn't wait and climbed on top of her.
'Appraise her body, system. What's her problem?' he asked the system while his hand slowly roamed over her curves. God, she was thick. So perfect, so tempting.
[Back sprain, host. Warming the muscles in that area would help.]
He could see the red sprain mark on her skin using his special eye which told him that she might have caused this injury in an attempt to lift something heavy or maybe a bad sleeping posture.
He turned towards Lex and said, "I think I can help her. But for that," he grinned and said, "...you need to leave the room?"
He was going to have a sweet time with his dear sister-in-law.
