The CEO's Cabin: Tension and Revelations
While things were unfolding outside, we shift to the CEO's cabin. The handsome guy who had just clashed with Hasini was sitting in the CEO's chair. He was spinning a cube on his desk in silence—a silence heavy with suppressed anger.
Facing him stood another young man, around 24 years old, holding a stack of files. His name is Shri. Shri is not just an employee; he is the CEO's best friend—life-long friends, in fact. They studied together abroad. The CEO had once made Shri promise that they would always stay together as best friends, which is why Shri was now working alongside him in the same company.
(Are you wondering why I haven't revealed the hero's name yet? I'm planning to let our heroine, Miss Hasini, reveal it herself. Just wait for it!)
Shri watched his friend closely, thinking to himself, "What happened to him? Why is he so furious? I have no idea what triggered this."
After a long silence, Shri decided to break the ice. He walked closer and asked, "Hey, what happened? Why are you so silent?"
Without looking up, the CEO replied, "Don't you know when I usually stay silent?"
"I know," Shri nodded. "I know that when you're angry at someone, you go completely silent."
"Then why are you asking me even after knowing that?" the CEO retorted, still not looking at Shri.
"I'm asking because I don't know who you're mad at. Tell me, who is it? I'll take care of them," Shri offered.
At that, the CEO stood up abruptly. He clenched his right fist and slammed it onto the table. "If my anger were directed at a guy, I would have handled him myself, Shri. But it's a girl—that's the only reason she's alive. Otherwise, I would have killed her for hitting me!"
Shri rushed to his side, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, cool down. First, tell me who she is. Does she work in our company?"
The CEO looked at Shri and said, "I saw her ID card; she belongs to our company. Shri, I'm giving you twenty minutes. I don't care how you do it, but I want every single detail about her on my desk."
"Okay, okay. I'll find out. Just relax for a bit," Shri said. He walked over to the window and made a quick call to inquire. "I want the full details of this girl on the CEO's table in five minutes. Bring them immediately," he commanded before hanging up. Shri glanced back at his friend, wondering who this girl could possibly be.
The CEO sat back in his chair, silently spinning the cube again. A moment later, there was a knock on the door. "May I come in, sir?" asked the peon.
Shri allowed him in. The peon handed a file to Shri, saying, "Sir, here are the details you asked for." Shri dismissed him and took the file to the CEO.
"Here, you wanted the details, right? Take this. It has everything about her," Shri said, handing over the file. As the CEO flipped through it, Shri began to summarize:
"Her name is Hasini. She works as an Illustrator in our company. She joined just last year."
The CEO looked up. "What about her work? Is she perfect or not?"
"She is perfect at her work," Shri explained. "She's a hard worker and very intelligent. But..." He paused.
"But what, Shri?" the CEO pressed.
"But... she's a bit of a 'silly girl.' She's always laughing, jumping around, and staying happy. Apparently, everyone in the company is a fan of hers because she helps anyone who asks. However, if someone blames her when she isn't at fault, she won't stand for it. To sum it up: she's part sweet, part stubborn, and just wants to live a simple, jolly life. That's her status."
The CEO thought for a moment. "Hmph. So she has a 'pride' angle to her as well. Do one thing... go and bring her here."
Shri hesitated, but the CEO insisted, "Let her come here first, then you'll see for yourself."
"Fine," Shri replied and headed toward the department where Hasini works.
