She started walking toward the dressing rooms, and Yuna followed after a moment's hesitation.
The young woman glanced back toward the store entrance—Gareth was still outside, still on his phone, completely oblivious to what was happening inside.
'Just for a minute,' Yuna told herself. 'Just to see what she wants to show me. Then I'll come back out.'
As they walked, Hana kept up a steady stream of conversation, her maternal tone putting Yuna at ease.
"So, that handsome man outside—your boyfriend?" Hana asked.
"Oh! Yes. Gareth. We've been together for about six months." Yuna's voice was warm but carried a slight edge of... something. Dissatisfaction, maybe. Or loneliness.
"He treats you well?" Hana pressed.
"He's... he's great," Yuna said, the automatic response of someone defending a relationship they're not entirely happy with. "He's on the football team, very popular, very successful. Everyone says I'm lucky to be with him."
