Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: THE CONFRONTATION

The next four days passed in a blur of planning and stolen moments. During the day, Sienna played her role perfectly—feeding Marco information, pretending to be his loyal spy. At night, she fell into Luca's bed, into his arms, trying to memorize every touch in case it was their last.

"You're thinking too much," Luca murmured on Wednesday night, his hand sliding up her bare thigh. They were in his bed, the city lights casting shadows across his face.

"I can't help it. Friday—"

"Friday, we win." He rolled on top of her, settling between her legs. "But right now, I just want you. No thinking. No planning. Just us."

He kissed her slowly, deeply, until her mind went blissfully blank. His hands mapped her body like he was memorizing it too—every curve, every sensitive spot.

"I need you," she whispered against his lips.

"You have me. Always." He reached for a condom, but Sienna stopped him.

"No. I want to feel you. Just you."

His eyes darkened. "Sienna—"

"Oh please, you've done it before," she smirked.

"Please, Luca. I'm on birth control. I just... I need this."

It sounded as though it was their first time..lol.

He kissed her hard, then pushed inside her bare. They both groaned at the sensation—nothing between them, just skin on skin, heat on heat.

"Dio," Luca breathed. "You feel incredible."

He made love to her slowly, thoroughly, like he had all the time in the world. Every thrust was deliberate, hitting deep, making her gasp his name. His fingers laced with hers, pinning her hands above her head.

"Look at me," he commanded softly.

She opened her eyes, found him watching her with an intensity that stole her breath.

"I love you," he said. "Whatever happens Friday, I need you to know that. You changed everything for me, Sienna."

"I love you too," she managed, then she was coming, clenching around him, his name a prayer on her lips.

Luca followed moments later, spilling inside her with a groan, his face buried in her neck.

After, he held her close, his hand on her stomach. "If I get you pregnant—"

"Then we'll deal with it together."

"You'd want that? A baby with me?"

She thought about it honestly. A child with Luca's dark eyes and dangerous smile. A future she'd never let herself imagine.

"Yes," she said. "I'd want that."

He kissed her temple. "Then let's make sure we both survive Friday so we can have that future."

---

Friday arrived just too fast. Sienna dressed carefully that morning—a red dress that hugged every curve. If she was going to war, she'd look damn good doing it.

Luca's eyes went dark when he saw her. "You're trying to kill me before Marco gets the chance."

"Just reminding you what you're fighting for." she teased.

He pulled her close, kissed her hard. "I don't need reminding. Now let's go finish this."

The plan was simple. Marco would make his move at Inferno, Luca's club, during a meeting with the other family heads. He'd try to kill Luca and take over his operations. But Luca would be ready. His people were in place. The FBI had been tipped off about Marco's unauthorized operations. And Sienna had enough recorded evidence to bury Marco for life.

Simple. Except nothing involving the mafia was ever simple.

Sienna arrived at Inferno at 10 PM. The club was packed, pulsing with music and bodies. She hardly made her way to the VIP floor, where Marco was waiting.

"You look beautiful," Marco said, his eyes crawling over her in a way that made her skin itch.

"Where's Luca?"

"In his office"

Go keep him busy. I'll handle the rest."

Sienna's blood ran cold. The plan had changed. Marco wasn't waiting for the meeting. He was moving now.

She pulled out her phone, sent a quick text to Luca: *He's coming now. Office.*

Then she headed for Luca's office, heels clicking on marble, heart pounding.

She found Luca behind his desk, perfectly calm. "He changed the plan."

"I know. My people saw him moving into position." Luca stood, came around the desk. "Are you ready?"

"Are you?"

Instead of answering, he kissed her—deep and claiming and desperate. "If this goes wrong—"

"It won't."

"But if it does, I need you to know—loving you was worth everything."

Before she could respond, the door burst open. Marco stood there, gun in hand, three men behind him.

"How touching," Marco sneered. "The boss and his whore."

Luca's expression went cold. "Careful, Marco. That's my future wife you're talking about."

"She won't be anyone's wife when you're dead." Marco raised the gun.

Sienna stepped in front of Luca. "Don't."

"Move, Sienna."

"No." Her voice was steady despite her racing heart. "You want to kill him? You go through me first."

"You stupid bitch. You were supposed to be on my side!"

"I was never on your side. You killed my brother. Did you really think I'd help you?"

Marco's face twisted with rage. "Your brother was collateral damage. He was weak, Just like you–magbe it runs through the blood."

"Danny was twenty-two years old," Sienna said, voice shaking with fury. "He was desperate to pay for our mother's medical bills. You used him, then threw him away. You're the weak one, Marco. Hiding behind Luca's organization, too much of a coward to build your own."

"Enough!" Marco aimed the gun at her.

The shot rang out.

But it wasn't Marco who fired.

Luca had moved lightning-fast, pushing Sienna aside, his own gun drawn. Marco went down, clutching his shoulder, screaming.

His three men raised their weapons, but Luca's security burst in, guns trained on them. Within seconds, it was over.

"Drop them," Luca ordered. "Now."

The men complied. Luca's security zip-tied them, dragged them away.

Only Marco remained, bleeding on the expensive carpet.

Luca handed Sienna his gun. "Your choice. He killed your brother. You decide how this ends."

Sienna looked at Marco—the man who'd destroyed her family, who'd tried to kill the man she loved. Her finger tightened on the trigger.

Marco's eyes went wide with fear. "Please, Sienna. Please—"

She lowered the gun. "No. He doesn't get the easy way out. He goes to prison. Let him rot like Danny did."

Luca looked at her with something like pride. "You're sure?"

"I'm sure."

He pulled out his phone, made a call. "It's done. Come get him."

Within minutes, the FBI arrived. They took Marco, still screaming threats and promises of revenge. But it was over. Really over.

When they were finally alone, Luca pulled Sienna into his arms. She was shaking, adrenaline crashing through her system.

"You could have died," she said against his chest.

"But I didn't. We're both fine."

"You pushed me out of the way. You could have—"

"I'd take a thousand bullets for you, Sienna. Don't you know that by now?"

She pulled back, looked up at him. "Take me home. Please. I need—I need you."

Understanding flashed in his eyes. "Yeah. Let's go home."

---

They barely made it through the door of Luca's penthouse before they were tearing at each other's clothes. The adrenaline, the fear, the relief—it all combusted into desperate need.

Luca lifted her against the wall, shoved her dress up, yanked her panties aside. No foreplay, no patience. He freed himself and thrust inside her in one hard stroke.

Sienna cried out, wrapping her legs around him, nails digging into his shoulders. "Harder. Please, Luca, harde…r."

He obliged, fucking her against the wall with bruising intensity. It was raw, almost violent, both of them taking what they needed.

"I could have lost you," he growled against her throat. "I could have fucking lost you."

"But you didn't. I'm here and I'm yours."

"Say it again."

"I'm yours, Luca. Always yours."

He carried her to the bedroom without pulling out, laid her on the bed, and continued the punishing pace. Sienna met him thrust for thrust, chasing the release that would prove they were alive, they'd survived, they'd won.

When she came, it was explosive like her whole body was arching, this time her name torn from her throat. He followed seconds later, spilling inside her with a groan that sounded like relief and possession and love all mixed up together.

After their survival sex, they lay tangled together, sweaty and breathless.

"Marry me," Luca said suddenly.

Sienna's head shot up. "What?"

"Marry me please.

"For real?" she was shocked

"Not someday, not eventually, next week, next month. I don't care when, but soon. Because tonight was a prove that I can't live without you, and I'm done and tired of waiting."

She should think about it. Should be practical. But she'd almost lost him tonight, and life was too short for caution, what's there to lose anyway, she thought to herself.

"Yes," she said. "Yes, I'll marry you."

His smile was radiant. He kissed her deeply. "I don't have a ring yet—"

"I don't care about a ring. I just want you."

"You have me. Forever."

Sienna fell asleep in Luca's arms, she dreamed of white dresses and dark-eyed babies and a future she'd never thought possible.

The ruin of wanting him had become her forever.

And tomorrow– tomorrow they'd start building theirs forever.
