in a town unknown to many was a boy who was born with a cures to him and many and that was Murphy's law.He was Kain and he was twelve when it kicked in.It started small,light bumps and falls amd eventually got worse.It began to effect not only him but everyone around him.People would get sick with unknown diseases,people would get attacked like never before.He was hated by all.
But even though he was hate by everyone including his family,there was one person who loved him with all her heart amd she was Lily his best friend.She was older by two years but he loved being with her and she loved being with him.She would get hit with his Murphy's law but she always smiled and laughed it off.The only one to ever accept him after he gained it,the one who loved him like no one has ever loved him.
Two years pass and he is fifteen and she seventeen,still together and still having fun.The people warns her and tells her to get away from him,get away from the devil boy but she never did and He was happy.Then something happened that no one expected.He walked through the town woth Lily by his side laughing like never before.People duck and hide preparing for the worse.For someone to get stabbed,someone to fall ill someone to get hit by a falling car.But nothing happens.
This confuses the people and he doesn't seem to know.His Murphy's law the law that brings bad luck to everyone around him woth him included is no longer working.Why?Is it because it disappeared,is it because people expect something to happen?No!Its because his happy.A few people realise that him being happy reduces the likelihood of his Murphy's law coming into effect and they tell everyone else.
Soon before Kain knew it,he had more friends.Children who hated and avoided him now hanging around him with smiles.Smiles because they are friendly or smiles because they want to make him happy to avoid bad luck?Lily knows this and she hates that the people are using his joy for their own gain,she resents them for using the man she's in love with.But deep down she knows if she confronts them,Kain will be sad and shw doesn't want him to be sad ever again.
A year goes by with no bad luck in sight.No one dies no one gets sick or goes bankrupt,just peace.Until one faithful day,Lily dies from a disease no one knew she had,a disease she got from being near Kain every day for years.This sends shockwaves through the town the one person who keeps him at his happiest is gone.What will they do now,if he knew he'd be broken and Murphy's law would kick in again.
They lie.They tell Kain she went away to another school to study further and he believes them.Weeks pass as they continue this lie,Lily has a grave without a name to keep him from knowing.Lies of her being abroad fills his ears.Lies that soon comes to an end as a child speaks about her death.He found out they lied to him.The best friend he's been waiting for wont come back she never will.Shes dead and wont return to his side like before and this knowledge breaks him beyond repair breaks him far more than the lies and hate he has known.
And then before anyone knew he was angry and Murphy's law was in overdrive.People died over and over without stop.People became bankrupt losing everything in seconds.He wanted this he hated everyone for lying to him for hating him when it wasn't his fault.He moved over and over bringing bad luck to everyone he came across.He was beyond anger he was pure hate and anger.He was full of blood lust and he wanted everyone to suffer.
He reached a town and brought more bad luck and dispare to everyone.People who he didn't know were effected by this and were dying left and right.But he didn't care at all.Time passed and he became weak,three days without food or water finally caught up to him.As he stands motionless in a field he thinks back at Lily's smile.The one who brought him the most joy when she came also brought him the most pain when she left.And in that moment,the moment of sadness he fall to his knees and cried.What has he done?Lily would have never wanted this she would have wanted him to live happily even without her.That day he closed his eyes and left the world with a single thought of regret.
