Thalia's POV
We made it back to the Pack House within minutes.
Kade had been silent the entire time. Even though nothing had been said, I felt like I knew what was going to be said.
As soon as we walked in, he said,
"Follow me."
There was absolutely no debate about that.
For the first time since I had stepped foot in his pack, I felt like taking an order from him was going to be for my own benefit.
I trotted behind him like a chick following its mother.
Even as the people bow as he passes and stare at me, I couldn't care less.
We even passed his own Beta, and I expected him to summon him to follow us, but Kade didn't.
I know that Cassian senses it, but he doesn't push for anything.
In fact, he stares down a group of housemaids that are staring at me too much and they disband immediately and disappear behind closed doors.
It doesn't take us long to get to his study.
He walks in first, closing the door behind me as I walk in. His mood is different.
