"Are you really going to just leap off, just like that?"
Catherine did not answer immediately. She felt slightly disturbed by the presence of the man who had suddenly addressed her in such a desolate place. Where had he come from?
"Your car is nice, your clothes are expensive; I imagine it would be easier for you to explore the world than to stand on the edge of a bridge like this."
The man stepped forward a few paces. Catherine recoiled. To her, a tragic end at the hands of an unknown stranger felt far more terrifying than plunging from a bridge.
"You don't have to be afraid. I don't mean any harm—"
"You're a stranger. Don't come any closer." Catherine finally spoke, her voice sharp and unwelcoming.
"Do you need my help?"
Catherine's gaze intensified before she finally strode away and entered her car. She did not stop for even a second.
The man watched her departure with a faint smirk. He reached for his phone and dialed Kaisar to deliver a piece of information.
