Chapter 14 - Kaith’s Rampage

Chapter Four

Season Two – Part One

Beginning of the Chapter

Location: A hospital inside the capital

Kaith slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurry and unfocused. As clarity returned, he found Alia sitting in front of him.

Kaith (grumbling):

"Am I in hell? Why is there an ugly monster in front of me?"

Alia punched him hard across the face with sudden anger and speed.

Kaith (angrily, holding his head):

"I was just joking!"

Alia (furious):

"Do you want another punch, you idiot?!"

Kaith:

"Enough. But… why is the capital still intact? It was attacked by demonic monsters, and there were a lot of them!"

Alia:

"Since you asked… I need to introduce you to someone—Reinhardt."

A man appeared. He had long white hair, sharp golden eyes, four horns, and wore black battle armor with a white cloak and touches of gold.

Reinhardt:

"I greet you, Kaith Azthiron, prince of this kingdom. I am Reinhardt… though this is not my real name. In truth, I am half-dragon."

Kaith (confused):

"Wait… why are you hiding your real name and using 'Reinhardt'? And what is all this information out of nowhere?"

Reinhardt (coldly):

"That is none of your concern, Kaith Azthiron."

Kaith (tense):

"I won't force you to answer… after all, you're the one who killed the demonic monsters, right?"

Reinhardt (sharply):

"Yes. And I have information for you—something I doubt you know."

Kaith:

"And what kind of information is that?"

Reinhardt:

"The curse of death you possess… has stopped. It will never activate again. Be careful—this is your final life. Do not try to return again… you won't be able to."

The air suddenly tore apart with lightning, twisting into a terrifying distortion.

Then…

Reinhardt stepped into it.

And vanished, as if he had never existed.

A trace of fear appeared on Kaith's face… and Alia felt it too.

Kaith (shocked):

"Wait… why does everyone know these things lately? Isn't that right, Alia?"

He turned toward her—only to find her deep in thought.

Kaith:

"Alia?"

Alia (irritated):

"What do you want?! Can't you see I'm thinking?!"

Kaith (worried):

"We need to go check if Ari is still alive… I'm worried."

Alia (annoyed):

"You're seriously obsessed with your sister."

Kaith (angrily):

"Shut up!"

Location: A destroyed house (the one Kaith bought)

Kaith (sadly):

"What is this…? That house was expensive!"

Alia (trying to annoy him):

"A prince talking about money?"

Kaith:

"Shut up, Alia. Let's go inside."

They entered the house.

Kaith:

"I found something…"

Alia:

"What is it?"

Kaith:

"A letter."

He opened it… and his expression darkened instantly.

Kaith (furious):

"We're going to the top of the mountain. Now."

Alia (tense):

"What happened?!"

Kaith (with intense anger):

"No time to explain. I'm going."

The letter read:

"Welcome, Kaith Azthiron.

I am Kyle, commander of the demon army of the fifth fragment.

Your sister, Ari Azthiron, is now in my possession.

At the top of the royal family's mountain.

If you don't come… I might kill her.

I advise you to hurry."

Location: The top of the mountain

A man stood there—blue eyes, jet-black hair, elegant clothing, and a suffocating dark aura surrounding him.

Kaith (coldly):

"Kyle… what do you want with my sister? She's weak—she's not even like a half-dragon."

Kyle (arrogantly):

"Yes, I know that. It's the truth, Kaith Azthiron. But in the end, she's a complete dragon… and that makes her troublesome for us. Don't you understand that?"

Kaith (angrier):

"Let my sister go, Kyle!"

Kyle (mocking):

"You mean the corpse in my hands? She died ten minutes ago. You're too late, Kaith Azthiron… you've lost the last member of your family.

Though… it's unfortunate, isn't it? You didn't even kill her yourself."

Kyle threw Ari's body toward Kaith.

Kaith caught her… and looked at her face.

Empty.

Still.

Dead.

He realized it.

But he refused to accept it.

Rage exploded within him.

His vision blurred. His focus narrowed to one thing—Kyle.

His eyes turned completely white.

Two new horns began to grow from his head.

Tears formed at the edges of his eyes… on a face twisted with fury.

He had lost his mind.

Kaith drew his sword—Blade of Light: Azthiron.

In an instant, he grabbed Kyle.

Just moments ago, Kyle could have crushed him…

Now, he couldn't even escape.

Kaith dropped his sword.

His hands ignited with flames mixed with dark energy.

Kyle (laughing):

"Even if you kill me now, this is just a copy of my real body. And yet… I still managed to kill your weak sister using it."

Kaith's rage erupted even further.

He began beating Kyle mercilessly—until his face was no longer recognizable.

Despite being one of the strongest in the fifth fragment's army—even as a clone…

Kyle died.

Brutally.

Silently.

Then—

Kaith collapsed.

The strain of his magic… and the crushing grief… overwhelmed him.

Alia (angry, frustrated):

"Idiot… I told him not to get so attached to Ari. Her death was inevitable… just like mine."
