Chapter 47 - CHAPTER FOURTY SEVEN

"Xu Nianye, you just have to tell me the secrets of space, and you can have everything you want. Why are you making things so difficult for yourself?"

Li Xujian mocked.

His expression was haughty and arrogant, as though he stood above everyone else and was looking down upon the person beneath him.

Xu Nianye didn't want to listen to Li Xujian's nonsense any longer.

Instead, he spat a mouthful of saliva mixed with blood directly toward his face.

Li Xujian managed to dodge it, but the blood still splattered across his pristine white clothes, staining the spotless fabric with ugly red marks.

"XU! NIAN! YE!"

Li Xujian screamed in anger, his voice filled with fury and humiliation.

"Tell Li Xunian that if he wants anything from me, he should come himself."

Xu Nianye's voice was devoid of emotion, his expression completely indifferent. There wasn't even the slightest trace of fear or hesitation in his eyes.

"Do you think you are worthy?!"

Li Xujian exploded in anger.

His face became distorted with hatred and jealousy, his eyes practically burning with resentment. Yet Xu Nianye didn't even bother paying attention to him, as though the person standing in front of him wasn't even worth acknowledging.

Seeing that he couldn't get anything out of Xu Nianye, Li Xujian could only turn around and storm out angrily.

His footsteps were heavy and filled with frustration as he disappeared from the hall.

The sound gradually faded into the distance.

Seconds passed.

Xu Nianye's head had been drooped the entire time, his body remaining completely still.

But suddenly, he raised his head with a snap, his dull amber eye brightened in surprise.

Because it was at that exact moment that Yu Weiwei's spiritual Qi entered the red jade.

Not wanting to miss such an opportunity, Xu Nianye immediately stole a tiny strand of Yu Weiwei's spiritual Qi without him realizing it.

With that strand of spiritual Qi, Xu Nianye created a faint connection to Yu Weiwei's world.

Using part of the spiritual Qi, he carefully assessed Black Abyss and Mingming, observing the condition of the two beings through the connection.

The remaining spiritual Qi was then circulated through his meridians.

Xu Nianye had no idea what this tiny strand of spiritual Qi would bring him.

After a moment, he finally saw the results from Black Abyss and Mingming.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face, making his already devilishly handsome features look even more alluring.

"These two little brats really live up to my expectations."

He paused for a moment before sighing.

"It's just a pity that the spiritual Qi in that world is too scarce."

His eyes suddenly widened slightly.

"Uhn?! A spiritual vein?!"

The next moment, Xu Nianye laughed happily.

"Haha, it seems that the little brats have come across an opportunity. Looks like a spiritual genius has appeared."

His laughter echoed through the empty space.

However, his expression looked somewhat stiff while he laughed. It was probably because it had been thousands of years since he had last laughed.

"That's good, that's good, that's good..."

He repeated the words several times, his voice gradually becoming weaker with each repetition.

His head slowly drooped again.

"I just have to wait a hundred years..."

The words sounded more like a faint murmur than an actual sentence.

And then, Xu Nianye completely passed out.

Meanwhile, Yu Weiwei had no idea that his spiritual Qi had been stolen.

At that moment, he was busy repairing Black Abyss's arm.

Instead of replacing the damaged arm completely, Yu Weiwei carefully connected the broken parts back together, restoring its original properties and making it as good as new.

He hadn't originally intended to repair it.

After all, he had already given Black Abyss the spiritual vein, so there was no reason for him to spend additional resources fixing her arm.

However, he soon realized that many people had witnessed Yu Ziyou destroying it.

If he didn't repair it, it would seem rather unreasonable.

Besides, if he could avoid spending money, then he would gladly do so.

Though, to be honest, that amount of money wasn't really much to him.

Once he was done, Yu Weiwei left the place.

He informed Xiao Baobao that he had repaired Black Abyss's arm before deciding to go on a little adventure around Velmora.

After all, it wasn't every day that one got the opportunity to explore such a beautiful planet.

Velmora was unlike most planets he had visited before. The dreamy crystal flowers spread across the land, reflecting the light and making the entire planet look as though it had been carved out of some magnificent crystal dream.

Yu Weiwei naturally wanted to explore it properly.

However, he had no intention of taking Lin Zhile and Yu Ziyou along with him.

The days went by.

Before long, the Emperor and Empress returned to the palace, both of them having successfully undergone the marrow cleansing.

Yu Weiwei also prepared to leave for the Imperial Planet to attend school.

This time, he took Xiao Bai and Xiao Zi along with him.

The two had returned to the Sea Sky Planet a week earlier, so there was no reason for them to remain behind.

After arriving at the Imperial Planet, Yu Weiwei couldn't help but feel a little annoyed.

He could have easily used his Dimension Authority to teleport here.

After all, he had only mastered the ability the previous week.

Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to use it.

Although there were teleportation stations throughout the interstellar world, their usage was mostly limited to transportation within the same planet.

It wasn't that there were no teleportation methods capable of transporting someone between planets.

There were.

It was simply that doing so was much more dangerous.

There had been cases where a teleportation pathway unexpectedly connected to a black hole.

There were even cases where the person being teleported ended up dead due to various strange causes.

In short, interplanetary teleportation wasn't stable enough to be used casually. The stables one are tightly controlled by the military.

The moment the ministers found out about Yu Weiwei's Dimension Authority, they had immediately banned him from teleporting between planets.

They had done so even before he had learned how to properly use the ability.

It wasn't that they were worried about him or anything.

In fact, they were worried about themselves.

They were afraid of Yu Weiwei's ability.

With his Dimension Authority, there were far too many things he could do, especially once he became proficient with it.

The ability was particularly frightening to those corrupt officials who had things they didn't want exposed.

Yu Weiwei was therefore asked to wear a restrictive device to prevent him from using his Dimension Authority to teleport freely.

Of course, Yu Weiwei was perfectly capable of avoiding the device's restrictions.

Even if he wanted to teleport from one orbit to another, the device wouldn't necessarily be able to stop him or get triggered.

In private, he had no scruples about using his abilities.

But in public, he still had to be a law-abiding citizen.

At least, he had to look like one.

Yu Weiwei sighed helplessly before taking Lin Zhile and Yu Ziyou to the mansion where he would be staying.

The next day, school resumed.

Since it was only a holiday between sessions, there was still a lot to do after resumption. The academy was once again filled with students moving around the campus, rushing to their various classes and catching up with friends after the short break.

Yu Weiwei, however, felt extremely uncomfortable the moment he started school.

The reason was simple.

He had become a celebrity.

The one thing he was satisfied with was that no one actually approached him.

After all, almost all of them had either bullied him or isolated him in the past. That was just how much influence Yu Yuan's popularity had held over the academy.

However, while no one approached him, Yu Weiwei still couldn't escape the countless gazes following him wherever he went.

He was really uncomfortable with the stares.

It felt as though every single action of his was being watched.

Every time he turned around, he would notice someone quickly looking away, pretending that they hadn't been staring at him.

You really couldn't entirely blame the students, though.

After all, Yu Weiwei had returned much more handsome than before.

Previously, when it came to appearance, he had only been considered among the last twenty in the entire academy.

Now, Yu Weiwei's appearance could easily be considered number one in the whole school.

To be honest, they had already seen him during his livestreams, but seeing him through a screen was completely different from seeing him in real life.

His soft, curly white hair framed his delicate face perfectly, while his pair of green eyes were so striking that it was difficult for people to look away once they caught sight of them.

He was simply breathtaking.

Besides that, most of them actually felt guilty.
