Because now Yeongjae was above me, hovering, caging me in with his arms, looking at me like I was something he intended to devour completely.

“Did you have fun playing with me?” he asked, the corner of his mouth lifting in a dangerous smirk.

“I—I wasn’t playing with—”

“Shut up.”

Before I could react, his hand was on my jaw, holding me still as his mouth crashed into mine. His tongue swept inside, deep and claiming, stealing every ounce of control I thought I still had.

“Mmm—” I tried to protest, but the sound dissolved into a helpless moan when his body pressed closer.

Before I could even adjust, he added another, curling them just the right angle while his thumb began rubbing tight circles.

“Then I guess I have work to do,” he said quietly. “I’ll just have to convince you.”

Before I could react, he shifted down the bed, his hands sliding along my thighs as he spread my legs apart.

“Yeongjae, wait, I haven’t—fu…”

Micah insisted on staying behind to supervise the final touches after the wall came down.


"You go," he told me, practically shooing me away. "I'll make sure they don't mess up your flooring."


Logan walked beside me as we headed upstairs to my place.


"I hope you're up for shrimp tomato pasta and Caesar salad," I said as I unlocked the door. "That's the fastest thing I can cook. Everything else in my freezer is rock solid."


"I'm fine with anything you make," Logan said warmly. "You know that."


I smiled faintly and pushed the door open—


I shut the door immediately before my dogs could launch themselves.


"Oops," I muttered. "I forgot they see you as a walking syringe."


Logan laughed awkwardly. "Understandable. The cost of making sure they are healthy. I play the bad guy. Occupational downside."


"Stay here. I'll send them up to the rooftop first; it's potty time anyway."
