Chapter 7 - refinement of body and soul

In a very vast plain of white stood two heavenly beings and two earthly beings, the heavenly beings were the two angels Gabriel and Michael while the earthen were priest and Nisan.

Below this plain of white was a screen-like cloud which showed Gabriel's stories of the past as Narrated it to priest and Nisan.

The duo stood there, confused by the stories unfolding before their eyes. The stories told by Gabriel defers for that which had been passed down for the past generations.

It was as if all which they had been told by their forefather were lies or they intentionally hid the truth from the future generations.

After an unknown amount of time had passed, the once white plain went dark like an unplugged television.

Silence filled the realm.

Nissan was the first to break it.

"How can this be?" he muttered, his voice trembling slightly. 'If what we have just witnessed is the truth… then what have our ancestors been protecting all this time?' he didn't speak out again and kept his thoughts to himself.

"Why was the Truth hidden from us all this time?" priest who disliked beating around the bush asked Gabriel his question without any form wavering coming from his voice.

"May I answer your question with a question of mine?" Gabriel asked.

The duo, shocked by the sudden questions, nodded their heads without thinking.

"What do you think would happen if the truth was passed down through generations?" He asked, but he didn't answer his question immediately, giving the duo a moment to think.

Priest and Nisan, not knowing how to answer or even knowing what to say, remained silent until whenever Gabriel decided to answer his question.

After some time, a priest broke the silence before Gabriel could speak.

"Jugging past events I think humans would have fallen into the hands of destruction by now"

" Although you look naive. You are very smart" Michael who barely said anything praised priest.

"Yes humans would have destroyed themselves by their hands, what do you think will lead to that outcome? " Michael appeared behind priest and said to his hearing.

The plane fell to another episode of silence yet again. This time neither priest nor Nisan could break the silence.

The two archangels walk through the pitch black plain waiting for answers from the duo.

"Now then"After a long time Gabriel decides to put an end to the silence.

"Do you have answers to my first question?"

only silence answered him.

Priest and Nisan lowered their gazes, their thoughts tangled like threads in a web they could not escape. The weight of Gabriel's question hung heavily in the darkened plain.

Moments passed.

Gabriel observed them quietly, his golden eyes calm, as though he had already expected this outcome. Michael stood beside him with his arms folded, his gaze fixed on the two humans like a judge silently watching over a trial.

" Do not blame yourselves little one" Gabriel said "the questions were never intended for your present selves" Gabriel said quietly, though his voice wasn't that loud compared to that of Micheal it still made the plain vibrate.

"Now the time has come for you to begin your Battle" Michael who had only observed the unfolding scene stepped forward.

With a simple wave of his hand, the pitch-black plain flipped from the pitch black plain to another white plain.

The moment they enter the plain, their legs lose the power to stand.

They found themselves kneeling in this new white plain. It was as if they had entered a realm where the pressure itself carried a will of its own.

An invisible weight pressed down upon their bodies, forcing their knees into the endless white surface beneath them. The air felt heavy, thick with an ancient power that neither Priest nor Nisan could comprehend.

Their breathing grew slower.

Even lifting their heads felt like a task meant only for the strongest of beings. It was as if every fiber of their being crumbled at a presence in this white plain.

All they would see was the endless White underneath their kneel.

***************

After what felt like an eternity had passed, Priest and Nisan's soul gave out, making them lie down flat on the White plain.

Just as their souls lost connection with their earthly body an unknown force came in contact with their souls destroying it.

After it was torn apart by an unknown force, another mysterious energy descended upon it. The energy shone with the fury of a thousand suns, compressed into a single devastating beam of light.

After that an heavenly pressure compressed their heated souls.

Their souls went through this process for a span of time too vast to be counted.

While their souls went through that process, their earthly body fell into a blazing fire. Their earthly bodies melted when it came in contact with the fire.

Their earthly bodies burnt for an uncomprehended period of time.

**************

After a span of time too vast to be counted had passed.

Their bodies emerged from the raging flames into the cold embrace of the water.

Although their bodies gained heat above comprehension no reaction occurred when it met with the cold embrace of water.

Their bodies barely lasted a moment in the water.

Their bodies shot out for the cold embrace of the water like a shooting star.

It covers a very vast distance in a matter of seconds achieving a great height before it descends back to the ground.

On its descent back to the ground, several angels flew up to catch-up with the falling bodies. They arranged themselves forming about seven layers.

Each of the seven layers had their appointed role.

The first to fourth cleaned and removed impurities while the fifth to seventh crafted the material into bodies.

The process drastically slowed down the descending speed of the bodies.

Though the speed of the bodies had reduced it took only a few seconds for the refinement and crafting process to be completed.

The newly formed bodies look even better than that of the two archangels Gabriel and Michael.
