Chapter 70 - Chapter 68 69: Author's Note

Hey everyone, it's your friendly neighborhood author here.

I might as well start from the beginning.

The Exam Arc was definitely the roughest patch. It had too much filler, the pacing was flat, and the writing was a bit dry. I wanted to rewrite it, but there are too many chapters now, so I'm just chalking it up to experience.

The biggest debate in the comments was about the protagonist not becoming Biscuit's apprentice.

Here's my logic: I realized you guys probably didn't want to read a long training montage about him learning basic energy systems. You're here to see him use the Limitless technique (Gojo's powers).

Before I wrote it, I thought, "If I spend chapters having Biscuit explain the basics of Nen again, people are going to roast me for padding the word count." Or you'd complain that a transmigrator protagonist shouldn't be so clueless. (Like, not knowing Reverse Cursed Technique or Domain Expansion, and being a total noob at Nen).

So, after the Exam Arc wrapped up, I decided to focus entirely on showing off the Limitless powers. The vibe shifted from "gradual growth" to "OP protagonist."

Some of you pointed out that he learns Nen but still can't win with it, so he just falls back on his sorcery.

Honestly, I designed it that way from the start. The heavy lifting in fights was always meant to be the Limitless technique. The Nen ability was just designed for support (like exorcising curses or acting as a terrifyingly deep inventory system).

The second issue is regarding the recent content—the Phantom Troupe arc. Originally, I planned a massive, drag-out battle here. A real war of attrition, fighting from one side of the city to the other until the MC was totally drained.

But then I remembered the source material. Gojo could keep Limitless active for two or three days even before he mastered healing magic. So how could I justify him struggling against the Troupe for days?

I hit a wall immediately.

I thought about giving that mysterious Member #8 a power that could bypass the Limitless barrier—like spatial rending—just to hurt the MC and make the Troupe feel threatening. But then I realized one guy wasn't enough to carry that threat level. So, I decided to have him and Uvogin make a quick exit. Don't worry, the Troupe will be back.

Finally, a quick roadmap for the future. Without spoiling too much, we should be syncing up with the main canon storyline in about 50 or 60 chapters. I promise I won't drop this story or ghost you guys until we finish the Chimera Ant arc. (If I quit before then, I'll post a pic of myself in a maid outfit.)
