Keifer's POV
Jay is still sulking. I tried everything. Hugging her. Kissing her. Calling her every nickname I could think of. I even brought her to a fancy restaurant and bribed her with mouth watering food. But the food stayed untouched. Her eyes were somewhere out the glass walls of the restaurant. She was acting like I didn't exist at all.
"Jay..." I tried for what felt like the hundredth time. But she still wasn't looking at me.
"Baby..."
She just sighed. A long sigh...
"Mahal...talk to me."
Keifer you have to try hard.
"Yell at me....slap me....punish me...curse me... anything...but just don't give me this silent treatment... please...Mahal."
She just took the glass of water,took a sip and put it down with a loud thud. Okay she was still angry.
"My sweetheart....my pumpkin pie....my wifey....my future Mrs. Watson....my foodie queen...Do you want me to apologise to you properly? Okay watch it."
I stood up from my chair. And knelt in front of her. I held both of my ears. People were staring at me. Some thought of me as a lover,some as a joker. Look Jay...Look at what you made Mark Keifer Watson. From an egoistic, arrogant man to a man who worships you. Yes,I'm doomed Jay.
Finally she looked at me. Yes it worked.
"What are you doing??" She asked me while glancing around the restaurant.
"Apologising." I said simply.
"Keifer!! Get up!!" She was trying to make me move.
She looked embarrassed because everyone was staring towards us.
"Not until you forgive me." I said calmly. Still kneeling in front of her.
"Keifer... people are staring." She whisper yelled at me.
"Let them"
"Ok fine...!"
"Fine??" I asked her hopefully.
"Yes fine...now stop this and talk properly"
"That's my good girl"
She rolled her eyes. I stood up and sat back on my chair.
"You want to talk ?? Fine talk. Tell me what happened yesterday. How did you get that wound?"
"Jay...." I started but she cut me off.
"Don't 'Jay' me right now. Talk."
She looks terrifying when she's like this. Dominating, demanding. I love this part of her but I'm also terrified.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes."
I told her everything that happened yesterday. Who kidnapped Yuri. What happened there.How did I get this wound. Everything.
Flashback
When I just reached our school parking lot,I got a message from that number again. They sent me an Address and a picture of Yuri tied to a chair. Blood dropping from the corner of his mouth. I didn't waste a second. I started my car and drove to the address they sent me. I was driving like a maniac. I needed to save Yuri. Even after everything...every fight,every misunderstanding we were still best friends. So I had to save him if he was really in danger.
The address they sent me was somewhere in BGC...it was an old factory that clearly hadn't been used in years. But I froze when I saw "Watson Group" on the name plate of the old factory....What on earth is happening right now...
I never knew about this factory and now I am dragged here... That means whoever called me here was definitely related to my family. Before I could think of anything further. I heard footsteps behind me. Then the voice. The voice I hate most in the whole world.
"Welcome son." Said the bastard.
I turned around sharply.
"You..." I started sharply but he cut me off.
"Relax...you just came...why to hurry... we'll take everything slow..." He said smiling.
I felt like punching him until he was left with no teeth to smile with.
"What do you want with me again?" I demanded.
"Hmmm...Can you guess??"
" I'm done with your fucking games! Let go Yuri!" I yelled at him.
"Oh yeah I forgot about your so called best friend. You're here for him. So sad son you lost to him once again. You always lose to him. Such an useless product of mine." He was clearly trying to mock me.
I laughed... really laughed. "Yeah because the father is more useless!"
He walked toward me and grabbed my jaw.
"This is what that bitch taught you since childhood huh?"
"Don't talk shit about my mother or I'll bury you alive..."
He laughed. "Let's see."
He released me. But then he called his men.
"Boys bring that boy here." He called out.
His men came out from inside the old factory. Two men were holding Yuri.
The monster approached Yuri.
"Do you remember what we discussed about?" He asked Yuri and Yuri nodded looking at the ground.
What was he talking about. What kind of discussion??
"So my dear son...you came here to save your dear best friend." That bastard turned at me.
"So sad.... unfortunately I hired him to finish you...you lost to him again."
What? He hired Yuri for killing me? I don't understand. Why would Yuri listen to him?
"I had to do so much hard work to bring you here. I had to kill that Sato and make it look like he committed suicide. I had to blackmail your so called best friend to do the work for me. Because I didn't want to make my hand dirty with your blood. After all you have that bitch's blood running in your veins. And guess what? Your dear friend even agreed to do the work."
Yuri agreed to kill me? Am I hearing right?
"But...but...but.." The bastard wasn't finished talking yet. "It became a problem when your little bird found out that photo in Yuri's room. That girl is really something. If she hadn't found it you would've gone to your mom already. So I had to plan this. This whole kidnap thing."
My own father wanted to kill me,it wasn't that shocking because that bastard could do anything but Yuri agreeing to kill me? I couldn't believe it...
"Finish your work." The bastard said handing Yuri a gun.
All this time Yuri's head was bowed. He finally looked up at me. He was crying. If he agreed to this why was he crying?
He pulled the trigger and pointed the gun at me.
"No...Yuri...no you can't do this. We're friends. Think about Jay.. Yuri...What would happen to Jay if I die..." I told him.
"Finish what you started." The bastard spoke again.
Yuri looked at me for the last time.
"I'm sorry Keifer....They have my mother and Youichi...if I don't do this they will do it to them... I'm sorry" he said in a trembling voice.
He closed his eyes and shot.....the bullet came so fast I didn't even realise... It hit me on the left side of my stomach. I collapsed on the floor...I saw that bastard laughing and walking away...his men followed him...Yuri stood there for a moment staring at me...Then he left too....again... leaving me to death... everything started bluring around me...I could only think of only one person... My Jay...My everything...I don't know if I can ever see her again.
