With the arrival of Yuan Si's group—or more accurately, with the arrival of Yuan Si herself—the battle that had dragged on for some time quickly came to an end.
Yuan Si fired eighteen shots, and not a single one was wasted. Every time she pulled the trigger, an enemy soldier went down.
The few who remained were finished off by Xiao Wang's men and the seven soldiers who had been pinned down.
Once they confirmed that all enemies had been annihilated, the members of the two squads formally met for the first time.
"Thank you so much for your support." The other squad's captain looked at Yuan Si and her group, his face filled with gratitude. If this team hadn't arrived in time to join the fight, his entire squad would have likely been wiped out here.
"Don't mention it. It's our duty," Yuan Si said sincerely. 'Since we're on the same side, it's only natural to lend a hand when we see our comrades in trouble.'
"We're Squad 198. I'm Jiang Tao," Captain Jiang said. "And you are?"
