"Yes, you," Commander Tao confirmed, his expression serious.
Yuan Si's expression grew serious as well. She remained silent, weighing the matter in her mind. 'This sudden recruitment... I have a feeling this isn't anything good.'
Commander Tao and the Political Commissar exchanged an imperceptible glance. Then, the Political Commissar looked over at Director Yang, who was sitting beside them.
Director Yang froze for a second before understanding. He quickly smiled at the group and said, "We're out of hot water. I'll go fetch some and make a fresh pot of tea for everyone. You all can keep talking." He then stood up, grabbed a thermos from the side of the table, and walked out, thoughtfully closing the door behind him so they could speak privately without being disturbed.
With the outsider gone, the Political Commissar's smile grew even warmer.
