A large Dongfeng truck dropped Yuan Si off at her gate. With a cool flair, Yuan Si vaulted out of the truck bed and waved at the group of young soldiers staring wistfully at her. "Come over for dinner when you have time!" she called. Then, shouldering her large pack, she bounced happily toward her house.
As soon as she reached the main gate, Yuan Si threw her head back and yelled, "Mom, I'm home! Your precious daughter is back!"
The truck chugged away. In its bed, the group of young soldiers all wore expressions of utter despair, as if their world was collapsing. 'This isn't our Instructor Xiao Li. Please, give us back our tall, mighty Instructor Xiao Li!'
Inside, the old woman heard her daughter's voice and quickly put on her shoes to get off the *kang* bed. But someone was faster. Just as she stepped out of the room, her son-in-law had already opened the courtyard gate.
'So my troublesome daughter is really back.'
