A pot, a steamer, and continuous plumes of rising steam. When the steamer was uncovered, plump, bouncy, and snow-white steamed buns came into view.
Everything played in slow motion. A pair of pale, slender hands picked up a bun and gently tore it apart. The bouncy, porous structure gave way, and a spoonful of sauce was scooped right into the middle. Because of the high-definition slow-motion camerawork, the process of the rich juices seeping into the bun was captured in exquisite detail.
The viewer hadn't eaten anything like this before. However, upon seeing this scene, the first thought that popped into her head was, "Ah, selling street food in a hospital doesn't seem very official. But this snack looks pretty proper. It actually looks really good and tasty."
Just as this thought crossed her mind, the guide's voice interjected, "What are you talking about? No one is selling snacks here."
