"Lord Xiao, for us to strike now and kill the members of the Wang Family from behind... isn't that a bit too rash?
After all, the Wang Family is fighting for the Sect on the front lines, killing the fiends of the Black Lotus Sect. Besides, the intelligence from Linji City still needs to be verified."
Meanwhile, Qi Jiancong, Chief of the Imperial Guard, spoke up.
The Wang Family was backed by the great Qi Family of Su State City, and every year, they presented the Qi Family with a significant tribute of silver coins and supplies. Naturally, Qi Jiancong wanted to protect the Wang Family, and with them, a source of income for the Qi Family.
As for the Wang Family colluding with the Black Lotus Sect, the matter could easily be downplayed. After all, the Wang Family's men were currently sparing no effort to eliminate the Black Lotus Sect fiends, which was more than enough to draw a clear line between them.
