Marcus Monroe gently squeezed Paige Summers's hand. They decided to retreat for now.
With their skills, escaping would be easy as long as they weren't discovered. They quickly returned to the small grove where they had met up with Rhonda Rhodes earlier.
"Let's head back to the ship first. The terrain in Districts 1 and 2 is unknown. We need more intelligence," Marcus Monroe said softly.
Paige Summers nodded.
The two of them sped back toward the secret harbor.
However, they were still a good distance from the thicket outside the harbor when they stopped in their tracks, ducking behind a large boulder beside them in a flash.
'People!'
'And a lot of them!'
They exchanged a look, held their breath, and strained their ears to listen.
