Live-Fire Test Range No. 3.
Victor's gaze was instantly drawn to the tiny dots leaping in the distance.
Above the wasteland, twenty Spider Slayer target drones were moving at high speeds in erratic trajectories. They covered each other, leaped, and even briefly activated Shadow Travel, perfectly simulating a professionally trained Golem reconnaissance squad.
Beside the two men, two Purgatory units were adjusting their firing angles.
"Is this... Purgatory?" Victor recognized the weapon; he had bought twenty of them himself back in the day. "What do you want to show me? I witnessed the power of their carpet bombing three years ago."
"No, no, no," Allen wagged a finger. "Times have changed, my friend. Purgatory is still Purgatory, but the ammunition is no longer the same."
As soon as he spoke, a deafening BOOM echoed across the range. The two Purgatory launch platforms fired simultaneously, unleashing a volley of twenty-four missiles.
