Allen connected the call. The light screen restructured, and Victor's face emerged.
The heir to the Tieyan Clan was acting completely out of character. His short blond hair was somewhat disheveled, but his eyes were frighteningly bright, radiating a sense of fanaticism. His first sentence hit like a physical blow.
"Allen, if you want to become a truly powerful figure, you have to buy that Half-Plane fragment—no matter what it takes!"
"Buy that for what?" Allen, already numb from seeing so many astronomically priced materials, replied. "Besides, I can't even afford the smallest fragment. Thirty million Magic Stones? Do you think my Golems can just dig up fully formed High-Tier Magic Stones out in the Gobi Desert?"
Victor suddenly leaned close to the screen, breathing heavily. "You don't understand at all! It's not about money!"
He took a deep breath, seemingly forcing down the intense agitation in his heart, and stared intently into Allen's eyes.
