At the edge of War Zone 19 lay the largest volcanic crater.
Thick black smoke billowed upward, filling the air with the pungent stench of sulfur. Dark red magma boiled at the bottom of the hundred-meter-deep crater, occasionally bursting into massive bubbles and splashing scorching droplets.
A massive updraft tore through the volcanic ash above. Two eighteen-meter-tall *Freedom* mechas swooped down from the sky, landing on the crater's rim and stomping out a large expanse of spiderweb-like cracks. Their blue-and-white armor provided a striking visual contrast against the dark red backdrop.
Fifty meters away, Victor Iron Flame stood in the center of five crimson *Molten Champion* mechas. He looked up at the colossal steel creation, his eye twitching slightly.
Before long, the *Odyssey* also flew over, closely followed by twelve Storm Falcons. Victor watched as Allen flew out from the Floating Ship.
