Returning to his dorm, he knocked. The door was gently opened from the inside.
Ah Fu stood just inside, still dressed in that crisp tailcoat and top hat, looking exceedingly elegant.
"Welcome back, sir."
It took the coat Allen removed and hung it on the rack. Soon after, a hot beverage at the perfect temperature was brought over and placed on the table by Allen's hand.
"Please enjoy, sir."
Allen picked up the cup and took a sip. Experiencing the Steward's consistently attentive service, an indescribable emotion welled up in his heart.
He stared at Ah Fu's metal-constructed, supposedly expressionless face, seemingly catching a blurry glimpse of another life's shadow.
The living room was completely silent. For the first time, he examined his creation so earnestly.
